We are at WDW now. We have our green Annual Passes and Magic Bands, and were given resort room key cards at check-in. The cast member checking us in told us we may need the keys for some restauants that couldn't use the Magic Bands yet.

We have barely needed fastpasses but have found that we can get paper fastpasses using our AP's and our room keys as mentioned by others on earlier visits. The fastpass eligibility times are not linked between the AP's and room keys so we could get muliple FP's at the same ride or get a FP at one attraction and immediatly use the other card for FP's at another.:rolleyes1

I have changed FP+ during the day and have also switched over to a different park after we decided we didn't need FP+ for the park we were in during the morning. I was able to switch over to a different park after the FP+ time had expired on one of our FP+'s but we hadn't actually used any FP+'s yet. On a day when we had used one FP+, we were not able to switch the others over to another park for use later that day.

I just called Disney and they told me our magic bands would be shipped to our resort, not our home. What has everyone else's experience been? We leave in 9 days for our trip so its getting to be too late to ship them here.

If your shipping address is outside the US, they ship to the resort.

If there is less than 10 days until check-in, they ship to the resort.

You're right!!!' I got an email at 5am thing me they we shipped. They were delivered at 9:30am

Funny thing, I so go an email today inviting me to participate telling me how to get my bands LOL

Yay!!! I saw you were following my timeline just a week later. Funny thing is I still haven't "been invited". I am all set though! Glad you are too!! Have fun!

I've read Contempory and Animal Kingdom are included, but does that mean Bay Lake Towers is included in Magic Band testing? I'm coming to WDW next week. I have not heard anything about it until today.

Bay Lake Towers is NOT included.

At Animal Kingdom Lodge, the testing only applies to Jambo House, and DVC there IS include. Kidani Village is not.

Beach Club Villas IS included.

I believe it has to do with the fact that AKV-J and BCV share their check-in services with the non-DVC resort. Kidani has its own check-in, as does BLT (although I know BLT guests can check in at the main check-in).

No standalone DVC has tested yet, nor has BWI/BWV or WL/VWL (the other shared check-in services).

BLT did do a limited test earlier for DVC guests, but was left off the list for now.

Can you FP+ for parades and fireworks yet for October? Also, once you make FP selections online can you change them or do you have to wait until you are there to change them?

We are in the trial for POP in September. We are also going again in October and then Christmas week in December. We will be staying on property. Right now it is letting me book FP reservations for our October trip but on day 5 it says my limit is reached. I have 24 FP reservations between the September and Oct trip. My concern is that if the system rolls out by December that Disney will not let me have any FP for that trip despite staying on property if my limit is reached in October. Any advice?

24 days worth, or 24 individual?

I've heard that there is currently a technical limit of 14 days. If you got 24, they've changed something.

There has also been a rumor on limits on AP holders in general, but they are only rumors.

I'd expect that if you do hit a limit, once you use up one day, you'll be able to add FP+ for another day.

The only fireworks/parade I've seen for FP+ is IllumiNations. Nothing else is up yet.

Please forgive if this has been asked and answered :thumbsup2 It's been a couple years since we last went to Disney and a lot has changed.

We have booked a vacation this December for Christmas at Wilderness Lodge and I noticed that they are not in the testing phase for the magic bands but once we reach within our 60 days of our trip are we still allowed to use FastPass plus? The magic bands sound nice but I would love to be able to sleep late and take advantage of the Fastpass plus

No one knows. WL will have to be a test resort (or the system go live for all) by your dates for you to qualify.

We have 24 individual fastpasses for a total of 8 days.

Interesting. I know people have been able to book more. That might be worthy of a call.

Where is the second stay? I don't know if it has anything to do with the October stay not being at a testing resort or anything, but I haven't heard of this coming up before.

And I can only make one day fp+ reservation and says I don't have a vaild ticket when I have one linked.

Interesting you brought up our second resort. It is at Wilderness lodge which has not been part of the testing yet. Maybe that has something to do with it?? It would be so nice if Disney would start releasing some of the rules.

You're just broken. :)

I don't think it _should_ have anything to do with it, but there are still gltiches in the system. The problem is you might not get much support for making selections in the second stay.

I had two reservations in Oct. one at a participating resort and one that isn't participating. It let me do fast pass + for both resort stays. BUT, I had to cancel my reservation at the participating resort, so now it is all gone. :( I called and was told that when I had both reservations linked the system would let me book fast pass+ during my stay at participating and non participating resort stays. BUT, only the fastpasses + from the participating resort would be honored, even though i was able to reserve passes for days at both resorts. I am talking in circles here. Sorry. Did that make sense?

From what I have read this is not accurate. Several posters have been able to use previously booked fast pass plus after canceling reservation at testing resort. Have not tried this myself however so it's just second hand info.
