Also I did book a FP+ reason for Mickey at 4:00pm on a day where we only plan to use our MNSSHP tickets - does anyone think this will mess anything up for me with our regular tickets?

I'm not sure what you mean by "all posters" - this has been reported NUMEROUS times. Right now, testers are given a KTTW card in addition to the bands, as a "backup" device, and for use at some locations that still aren't set up to handle RFID purchases (becoming fewer and fewer every day). They also have them to use in the FP machines. They are TOLD they can use them.

"Double dipping" in that case is that you can have your three FP+, plus a normal allotment of FPs.

But to make the KTTW cards work with the FP computers, even if they enter with the MagicBands, is that they've basically just enabled any "valid" KTTW card to get Fastpasses. What makes it "valid" isn't quite known, but some were able to get FPs with KTTW cards dating as far back as December.

Even non-testers who had separate admission media and a KTTW card were able to get Fastpasses _independently_ with each card. THIS is the bigger issue with "double dipping", as some guests can get twice as many (or more with more cards) Fastpasses as they should be allowed.

My theory - they enabled KTTW cards in general as a simple measure to avoid issues with tracking FP use if the KTTW card itself was not the admission media, because admissions vs. Fastpass computers can only track to the admission media, and not the common profile. They could fix this, but haven't, which leads me to believe that Fastpass will disappear not long after FP+ is available to everyone.

Will double+ dipping continue short term? Hard to say. They could try and curb it more if they were able to track the validity of KTTW cards based on their use dates, etc. but it is possible the FP system as it stands can't access that info.

I think your very right but it might take a little longer than we think. They are rolling out if you stay on property right now and then there is the matter of offering it to people who aren't staying on property. I can't find an expected date for that anywhere right now. So I wouldn't think they will take the old FP system out until everyone can use FP+ I'll be there in January so it will be interesting to see what will happen since its everything suppose to roll out by the end of the year...

Has anyone had any luck switching resorts and getting in on FP+? It would only be a $29 difference for me to switch my 3 day stay from ASMu to Pop. But I'd hate to switch and then not get Magic Bands after all.

Well, I did say, "...which leads me to believe that Fastpass will disappear not long after FP+ is available to everyone."

There are no "expected" dates at all that we are aware of. Public statements have said they want the new program out by the end of the year. Some internal stuff mentioned January 2014. But it all depends on how it goes.

If you are going in Oct. and staying at Pop, ALL guests there can participate in FP+. All you have to do is switch your reservation from ASMu, and then the MB info and FP+ will automatically pop up on MDE. It would so be worth the $29!

On the phone now. It was actually only $18! :)

For people not yet eligible to customize magic bands or make FP+ reservations, how is your MDE site supposed to look? For instance, when I am logged into MDE and click on the MB section, it asks me to link my tickets. I have a MYW package booked, so I enter the confirmation number and it tells me that package is already linked (and it says its already linked to my name...)... is this what happens to anyone not eligible to customize bands yet? When I look under "My Reservations", my trip is listed there and is correct.

I had a ton of issues with MDE not recognizing my +10 at my ADR time (never did work), so I am concerned it is having trouble linking my reservation. My reservation is booked under a pin that was sent to my work email, but MDE is set up under my home email so I hope that's not screwing anything up :confused3

if it says it's already linked to your name but doesn't show up in your MDE then it is very possible they linked it to duplicate profile you have. You probably would want to call the phone number with that message to see what is going on.

(could be two profiles- one for each email....)

Hi all, we are arriving next Wednesday, most of our group are staying at POR under 1 reservation but have someone staying at OKW, what happens about the Magic Bands as I dont want the 4 of us in POR having them and then the 1 person at OKW not!

Can you refuse them?

Also we have 7 nights at POR then joining family at OKW for 14 nights so what happens if we did have the bands as we have a 21 day ticket do they continue for the last 2 weeks? Totally Confused :confused3

Question.... Once you reach the day that the bands can no longer be customized... How long before they ship?

Just don't use them. You'll also receive a key card. They'll give you the bands either way, keep them as souvenirs if you don't want to use them.

Having customized the bands twice:

1. The "Your bands are being customized" message lasted for about a day after the customization window closed.
2. The bands subsequently ship and are received about one to two days later.

Ok sorry if this has been asked but I've been searching this thread and others.

We have APs BUT stay offsite. How is that gonna work??

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Nobody knows, because Disney has not said.

It will, but exactly how is yet to be determined. They have not included off-site guests in any testing yet.

I'm seeing the same problem, for me I know it's not due to having 2 profiles using 2 emails. Could it be from using different Disney login sites (e.g. Using the old GB site).
Also wondering if it's a problem with MB if don't see all my ADRs, since a number were made by my TA. I can see them under her name. TIA

My experience was that they shipped the next day with UPS Next Day Air.

Ok great so can still use KTTW card to get in the parks and can still use the old Fast Pass system?

Thanks
