Thanks for the link, so I am arriving on 9/11 but haven't had anything about this, is it just select guests? Maybe I will not get selected as from UK?

What resort? Have you created a profile on the web site yet?

Sorry, staying at Riverside

I have a log on for MDE site but no reservations come up and I can't link any in as doesn't recognise the reference number (maybe because a UK ref).

Im lost!!

Okay, another ?
Our trip is Oct 31-Nov10 at AoA.
Today I was playing @ and it let me customize our magic bands:cool1:, but when I went to fp it said nobody was available. Now it lets me click on a date, Then it shows the correct people in the party with un-highlighted checks by them and tells me to select, when I select it turns green like it should, but when I click on next it just refreshes the same page it won't go to screen 3....Any suggestions or is this happening to anyone else?

You'll need to get the reservation linked somehow. If you went through a travel agent, you might need the actual Disney reservation number (12 digits, usually starts with a 4 I believe)

Can't link any of my dining reservations I made online back in April!

It says number or surname not recognised. Do I need to call tech help? Hope not!
thanks

Do call. Don't fret it. There are IT glitches only a talk with a nice CM can resolve. I had many, but one smart CM finally consulted the right people and found the nasty. There may be a need to hang up so they can call or email you with the results. Never mind my case details. Yours may be unique.

I understand that. But it is not an exact science. I still think it's utterly ridiculous. If someone knows they want to reserve 1 ride, that should be an available option.

One would also think that Disney should have had enough data on TS restaurant no-shows to overbook those places to the correct percentage allowing for no-shows. Yet before instituting the CC guarantee, many tables apparently sat empty while the greeter out front turned away walk-up patrons. Not even Disney can predict everything.

Yes, I agree about being able to reserve just 1 ride, as that might simplify things for someone's plans rather than have "clutter" on their MDE page or the app. But ultimately it doesn't affect the number of people who can ride via FP+. If they decided to allow people to book only 1 FP+, they would end up having to scale back the number of FP+ distributed (since they know there would be less no-shows) to perhaps 14,000 instead of 15,000. In the end, it's probably splitting hairs about the amount of people who'd actually get to ride via FP+.

I think the difference with table service is that it's just an insanely smaller sample size, so you're dealing with a much more touchy issue with attendance at a restaurant. A restaurant might be able to hold 100 people - so it's subject to that variance and small blips a lot more than an attraction that serves 2,000 people an hour. If a large group of 10 people doesn't make their TS res, you're already down to 90/100 capacity. On the other hand, a large group or several large groups missing a FP+ reservation is a small cut in an attraction capacity, and is more subject to statistical accuracy. It's sort of like how you can flip a coin 5 times and it can come up heads every time, but flip 100 times and there's now way you'll get all heads. :thumbsup2

This question has probably already been addressed in this thread, but I couldn't find it. I got my 8 day park hoppers from undercover tourist today. I went on MDE, linked them to my wife and I, as well as our wristbands. However, when I tried making FP+ selections, I was told I didn't have valid park admission. I called and spoke to an MDE expert and was told that, because my tickets have a credit card strip and not an RFID bix on the back, I can not link them to my reservation until I arrive... So much for FP+ in advance.

Anyone else encounter this?

Any update on the traditional FP system? Are they still running it concurrently with the FP + system? I'm hoping it will still be there when we arrive in November.

Still there, still works. Unknown if the plan is still to remove it at some point, but odds are it will still be there in November.

I apologize if this has already been addressed.

Are MB FP+s transferrable within a party? We currently have 3 FP+ for Space Mountain but DH & I don't ride that attraction; we got the FP+ because DD wants to ride it. Could she use our MB FP+s and ride 3 times?

I'm guessing the name that appears on the CM's screen is the name used to customize the MB? If you don't use a name or use a general nickname they wouldn't know if she was using my MB or DH's MB?

TIA!!

It's me again. :flower3:

I posted this on another MB/FP+ thread but thought I'd ask here too.

I have a question.....it's one of those situations where you vaguely remember reading something so.....

Our package is for 7 nights and we have 5 day passes.
The 2 days without passes are:
1 day @ Typhoon Lagoon (don't have tickets yet) + MNSSHP that evening
1 day to relax at the resort

When I made my FP+ reservations I made them for all 7 days.
On the MNSSHP day I have FP+ for 3 attractions from 4pm to 7pm (this was done before I linked my MNSSHP tickets). I also have FP+ for 3 attractions at the Studios on our "relax at the resort" day since we might add a day to our passes and DD & I will go to the Studios just to use the FP+ we have.

Here's where I vaguely remember reading something ---- I thought you could only reserve FP+ for the number of days that you had tickets for. Did I read that right? Am I dreaming? I must be since I have 7 days of FP+ when I only have 5-day passes.....

Has anyone heard if guests of the swan/dolphin will get to use FP+ when it rolls out? They have EMH right now. We are thinking about a trip next year and I was wanting to try one of these but unsure of how that would be with the FP changes.

The plan is that everyone eventually will be using FP+ - including those not staying on site.

How the Swan/Dolphin fit in is not 100% certain, but it seems unlikely that they will get MagicBands like the regular Disney resorts. Whether they might get FP+ access prior to the general public is not known, but I kind of doubt it.

Sorry this is probably somewhere in the last 147 pages, but is there any word on when it will be rolled out?

At this point I believe it _is_ being rolled out, but in stages . Next stage starts Sunday with more added resorts. No idea when it will be completed though.

Ok, thank you. I guess POP will be our backup depending on how the roll out goes. I just wanted to try something different this time.

I also was all to book FP+ for our MNSSHP day and resort day...just in case. We have a 6 day pass and I booked 7 days of FP+

Hmmm, this is an interesting question! I don't know how they would know, and will the CM even be looking at the name?
