Has anyone been able to use the same Magic Band for a split stay?

I would like to take my POP MB and use it during my BLT stay. I wonder if this is possible?

We had 2 reservations at CR and are using the same bands for both parts of that, but I'm not sure about moving to a resort that is not part of current tests.

I read a previous poster saying their bands stopped working during the second part of the split stay at a resort that wasn't currently testing the bands.

This is similar to a question that I had. I had a room only reservation at the BC that is currently tied to the band, we cancelled the RO and re-booked as a package. The package shows up no problem on the MDE website, but the magic band is still showing the link to the old confirmation number.

When we check in can this be corrected?

I think I just realized the confirmation that shows on the MB page is the confirmation of the magic band, not the resort! Hooray!

SleepingBeauty, we booked through AAA (leaving in 10 days!) & we have Magic Bands & FP+.... I have read it depends on the resort (we're Pop).... Good luck!!!

we stayed last week at POP with the bands no issues - this week we are at POR and they said we are not part of testing over here so our bands won't work as room keys and we are using key cards. Are tickets are still linked to the bands though. Miss using the bands for everything. As it was very convenient .

Do you have to do online check-in before you can customize magic bands, choose fastpass+, etc? I'm staying at POR starting 10/20, with seven people in two rooms. I can check-in online in three days. However, we may be moving around 10/1. I'm hesitant to do online check-in now with my current address if I'm going to have to change all my info right before the trip, but I would like to have access to magic bands and fastpass+ as soon as possible. Thanks.

Nope! We were able to customize the bands with nothing more linked to MDE than just the room reservation. No online check-in either.

Yes, completely waterproof...but they do not float, so be wary...

How will you know if you have been selected to test the magic bands? A friend of mine is staying at POR the last week of September and booked through a ta. Her ta never explained anything about mde which I just helped her setup. Didn't even know she was eligible for fd. ( which her ta got added just recently) I was able to help her with everything except the magic bands. How many days will you be notified before the start of your trip if you have been selected to test.

Because the FPs end then. It may be to analyze data or prep for rollout.

I didnt realize that, the FP+ ends 9/28, amd the rollout happens after that? My stay is 10/20 at AK Jambo House (trying out a grand villa) , so eith it will be rolled out by them or no FP+ test for me?

I'm sorry to say this but I'm not looking forward to these magic bands. Many people are complaining about the many issues they had and I don't want to spend my vacation on the outside looking in. Iv asked this question before on two different threads but have gotten no responses but I have to pick up my tickets early and I'm worried that these magic bands might cause a problem with this.
