I have a question......We are checking into Pop on Aug 31st for just one night and then our package starts 9/1-9/8 at the BC. I was able to order the magic bands and have received them. I noticed that the fp+ option was available on the website for our entire trip and not just for the night we are at Pop. I have not reserved anything because I was not sure if it would actually be reserved because the BC is not one of the test resorts.

Does anyone know if I reserved our fastpasses that they would really be in the system after we check out of Pop and check into the BC?

Thanks!

POP people checking in the first week of Sept. are starting to report being able to book FP+, but not MBs yet.

They will be in the system and saved but keep in mind that you won't have access to parade or firework or nighttime show seatings nor access to any FP+ attractions that do not already have FP. They have not release any of those out into the system yet.

So you can book and use ones you make but you will have to keep checking back to see if they have released any of the FP+ only attractions.

HI I am traveling to WDW and staying at POR from 9/28/2013-10/5/2013.

I booked everything through the Disney website as well as park tickets. How do I take advantage of Fast pass + if I do not get my tickets till I get to POR?
Also is the regular fast passes still available if we do not have fast pass+?

Thank you

Your package tickets are simply virtual so they will link themselves.

FP standard is not expected to go away for a couple years yet.

You can't use the FP+ system unless you have been invited to do so or it becomes rolled out to everyone.

But do you have access to your ticket info with a package to enter it into MDE for FP+ before you have paid in full?

I was wondering if people with packages can link their tickets to MDE before they pay in full.

My tickets are already linked, so that part isn't an issue.. it linked automatically with the confirmation number for the pkg.

So, I'll have to guess that final pmt doesn't need to be done to see.. just a matter of waiting for invites for October (If they happen!) to be sent..!

Thanks guys!

So I was able to make FP+ reservations today and customize our MagicBands. I came home and talked to my DW about everything and she isn't thrilled with the whole FP+ thing. She would rather just do it like we have done in the past. We have been able to get more than 3 FP in a single day.

So can I cancel my FP+ reservations and just use the old FP machines?

We are staying there the first 2 weeks of September and were asked to do our magic bands today!:thumbsup2

Can anyone tell me if it is still possible to use both FP+ and regular paper fastpasses on the same day? I have family leaving in less than a week (8/19-8/23) testing out the new system and would like to recommend that they "double dip" fastpasses if they can. Will they definitely receive KTTW tickets at check-in along with their wristbands (which have already shipped to them and I assume are already programmed with their park tickets)?

Thanks! :)

I answered you on the other thread but for good measure.

Yes and yes.

Ha- thank you! Just covering all of the bases since I am down to the wire with finishing their itinerary (serving as the official travel planner).

Appreciate the speedy repl(ies)y! :thumbsup2

I've read many places on these boards that you can use both so there really is no reason to cancel the FP+ reservations (unless you don't intend on using them.

No, you use both. You tour as normal, stopping and using your FP+ as they come due. Pretty simple. This will likely be your last opportunity to tour like this so I'd go for it. If for some reason it happens that they want you to choose one or the other, then tell them you want the old way.

As long as they are calling it testing, you can opt out.

I keep hearing different things, but is it set in stone that all fastpasses for an attraction will be available 60 days beforehand? I hope they have about a thrid of the fastpasses set aside for same day, I know alot of people like me don't want to schedule what they're riding 60 days in advanced! I hope that is true too because if all the fastpasses were out for 60 days on Soarin and Toy Story Mania, that would be a complete nightmare. I know they mentioned keeping some aside for the popular ones

I'm super worried about this. Don't want some FastPasses to be as hard to get as certain ADRs are!

As far as I can tell from the test phase, no they did not release all FP+/FP for the attractions other than possibly the ones that are only FP+. But, we did have issues with not always being able to change a FP+ to a later time, being told none were available (but regular FP were available).

I don't think we can guess what they will do when FP+ gets out of the testing phase. There are lots of kinks right now and things are coming up that weren't considered.

NOTHING in set in stone.

We can't tell from the tests what they will be doing in that regard.
