I never said I would do this. But I hate the fact that the testing resorts are getting a leg up on me already. They have the priveldge of not having to run around (sometimes across the park) just to get a fastpass to ensure they can ride a ride without a large wait.

To me, i may be sad for a second if my resort wasn't chosen, but then I can tour the park like I have always done and never had a problem. In fact, if we had not added on a night stay at AoA prior to our BLT reservation, we wouldn't be included either. It is just luck.

We were also chosen to test FP+ in December. You got 2 parks (MK and DHS) with 3 attractions a piece, just like the current test. We ended up having 4 days to try because we extended our trip with 2 nights at Pop after BLT.

It really is just luck. No one is getting a leg up on anyone. And FP+ may not be all that it is cracked up to be... Scheduling your whole day almost down to the minute isn't exactly fun to me.

MagicBands can do everything that the current RFID KTTW cards can do. There are some upcoming interactive experiences in attraction queues and character meet & greets that will only work with MagicBands.

Just curious where you heard about the upcoming experiences. Apparently there are a lot more websites out there that I never heard of and lots of info. It's just hard to tell what is fact or speculation based on what I read from posts on these boards. We are testers for our trip in Oct and I want to make sure I can take full advantage of what is offered;) TIA!!

I did not mean to offend anyone and was just voicing my opinion. I have less of a "reservation" (haha) about this if the "ghost" room is actually used. Otherwise, it's a shame a room would be wasted. Theoretically, the value resorts could start to reach capacity because of these "ghost reservations," preventing other families on a budget from enjoying WDW.

Yes I get that but last time I checked my money was just as green and I feel all should get the same perks

I think the thing that gets missed is that this is a beta test. Disney never said that, after full roll out, only certain folks will have access to these perks. They have stated that everyone will have access, to my understanding...

A beta test is just that, one last large-scale test, before going live with everyone...

Not sure where the color of money fits into any of this...

It's not exactly a perk right now. It's a test. We got lucky by adding a night at a testing resort months ago. Why not switch resorts if this is such a big deal?

I'm just one consumer and I am sure that Disney could care less about me and my family but this is the last time we will spend 7 days exclusively at Disney; next trip to Orlando we are going to stay several nights at Universal.

I understand testing/rolling out FP+ a few resorts at at time and some got lucky with their resort choice and some of us did not. What upsets me is allowing the testers to use both systems. Sure makes me feel like a second class citizen this trip. How about a few complimentary FPs per person for those of us who are not at the testing resorts?

We have 2 rooms booked and I am not about to spend over $200 to make a reservation at a resort that I have no intention of staying at just to get the MBs. After all the testers are getting them for free.

Disney's public statements about "experiences" are the source, but they are non-commital on exactly what they will be. Their example, however, is that at a Princess meet and greet, they would know the name of the guest before you even step up and be able to greet you by name, know they've met you before, etc.

But what I mean is test or not it really does give the testers a leg up. They go in with having 3 premium fast passes already scheduled. Then on top of that if I am reading this right because they get the kttw card they also get to use the old fast pass system and get other fast passes. So effectively it could look like this 930 fp+ tower of terror, and walk up Tsmm fastpass, 10 fp+ for Aerosmith 1030 use fastpass Tsmm grab one for tot etc.... It's 11 o'clock and I using the old fastpass system only have my Tsmm but yet they have 4 that's quadruple mine. It just rubs me the wrong way is all, it doesn't mean I will not go to Disney nor does it mean I won't have a great time . It just puts a lot of us at an automatic disadvantage.

I thought about it. Switching resorts but I have wanted to stay at CBR for two years and always get vetoed I am going with my dd21 this time and she agreed to go there.

Seems like a pretty harsh assessment. I gotta stand up for WDW on this one. I'm sure rolling it out gradually at only a few resorts is the best way to test it while not overloading the system. Second class citizen, really? Staying at a moderate with free dining..

I totally agree with u. This is the problem I have with the test.

People are staying at a value (POP) with free dining and getting to use FP+ and the current system; it's the doubling dipping that does not sit well with me.

I will tell you that if I had to choose the current FP or FP+ for my trip next month, I would choose current FP. The only reason I am using the test is for a few rides to be honest... Ones that are difficult to get late in the day. Otherwise, I'm using the regular system while I still can. You will see me at MK early in the morning, not using my magic band/fp+. So... We will be equals.

I would almost bet that most choose not to take many regular FPs if using FP+. Who wants their entire day planned out by the hour?

Just bumping this up..anyone have any info for me? :)

Regarding deleting duplicate identities: I tried to do this for my dh because he was listed twice, and I called tech support. They said the system would not let them delete the dh that had no park ticket or resort reservations, because he had dining reservations. And they said they could not do anything about it.

So perhaps the "you" that is incorrect is the one with ADRs? They told me just leave both identities and just delete the "wrong" one after the trip, when dining was finished.

Do all guests staying at POP during the test period get Magic Bands and FP+?

If I book at the last minute and pick up my MBs at check in, do I have to do something to link them to the FP+ that I book prior to the trip? (Right now they are "assigned" to our annual passes).

How does having a FP+ time block affect getting another FP in the park?

Thanks!

The idea that anybody would pay a for a room, even for 1 night, just to get access to FP+ seems really insane to me. There is nothing about it, from what I have experienced thus far, that would encourage me to pay anything extra for it.

Is this in response to my post? :confused3

I already booked a room for this weekend and then found out it was a resort where they are testing. The CM said to be sure to check out MyDisneyExperience online and the app, so I did, and that's when I signed up for FP+ and saw mention of the Magic Bands.

Wouldn't pay extra to do it but if its offered, I'll take it!

If I want to book a room for one night to get fast pass+ and magic bands I can. Why would anyone even care. It's my money.

Our reservation at Beach Club starts on Friday, but our plane comes in on Thursday so we decided to stay off-site for Thursday night and hit the parks Friday morning. Will we be able to book FP+ reservations for Friday?
