For a refresher:

Trip dates: Nov.28-Dec.5 We had 7-day park hopper tickets

I first visited DW in 1986 and this was the first trip for my husband and kids.
My immediate family: me(36); DH(40); DD(14); DD(11); DS(9); DD(3 1/2)
We stayed at FW cabins
My parents went also but stayed separately at CSR.
My sister, her family and in-laws also went but stayed in condo off-site

Day 2: Tue., Nov. 29: Magic Kingdom morning/Epcot evening

This morning we headed to the MK with our ponchos on because it was drizzling rain.
My sister had called me earlier and asked me if I had a back-up plan for today and I said
“No”, she then replied, “then I guess we toughen up and put our ponchos on and go for it”!
So we continued on with our previously made(months in advance) plans.
Well, we had an excellent time at the MK. Because of the rain, there was hardly anyone there.
Everything was a walk-on. The rain was very light and it only lasted for about 1 ½ hours.
We rode/experienced 14 attractions by 1:30pm!! This was a dream come true day for me at the MK. We hit Fantasyland first, then Toon Town. We rode Goofy’s Barnstormer about 4 times, twice without getting off the plane. Old and young alike had fun on this ride with the kids.
We next hopped on the train and got off at Frontierland and rode BTMR twice and then Splash Mountain. We hit several rides in Adventureland and then saw Mickey’s Philharmagic and rode Space Mountain before leaving for our afternoon break around 2 pm.

Epcot Evening:
There was a very light crowd at Epcot so we really enjoyed touring around the World Showcase.
We saw the Chinese acrobats and watched the wonderful movie about China, we toured France and watched the movie there also. We found Pooh and Tigger all alone at the UK and took some great pics. I had wanted my husband to be able to hear “Off Kilter”, the Celtic rock group from
Canada but we missed them. I hope to catch them on our next trip. We toured a few more countries before finding our spot to watch Illuminations. We loved this show and especially the special holiday finale. We were so exhausted this night. I thought we would never make it the rest of the trip. But we had a good nights rest and adjusted finally to the fast-paced speed of this vacation and made it fine the rest of the week. The itinerary gradually had us slowing down so we made it just fine.

Favorites of the day: Mickey’s Philharmagic; my kids loved BTMR and SM and I loved seeing my 3 ½ yr old's smile on Dumbo. We loved the Chinese acrobats and Illuminations at Epcot.

I bought a cd from Off Kilter last trip and I just sit back and imagine that I am there in Epcot........what a way to spend the day ......thanks so much for your report......I love Dumbo too even at my age.......

Sounds like a brilliant day. It was great how you got so much done at MK.
