MyDisneyPhotoPass.com

They haven't forgotten. There's no way to move your credit from your Disney PhotoPass account to your MyDisneyPhotopass account because they aren't linked in any way. For now, shoot an email or call and get it moved over.

I find this funny...

I think at the very least, Disney should be EMAILING all accounts with a pre-order with instructions on what to do to get their credit transferred over to the new site. There should be a "form" of some sort on the new site or a place to enter in an old order # to make this all much easier.

I'm pretty supportive of Disney in general...especially with the who MM+ testing and all that...but this particular PP website change does seem as though it was not well thought out as far as how it affects current customers and how it just sort of surprised everyone. A simple email with instructions on how to transfer pre-orders, how to access old photos, etc would have made a world of difference in terms of customer service.

Email is supposed to go out they said but no idea when.

From when I used to work in IT I'm sure that the solution really isn't as simple as you all are making it out to be, especially when you are working with customer and personal data.

What if I had an account on disney photopass under one credential, and a my Disney experience account under another? Would it be acceptable to say hey now you have two accounts but this one has your PhotoCD credit? What if you had several people sharing a photopass account but they all have their own mydisneyexperience account? Who gets the credit? It would be lovely to simply import data but hypothetically, lets say 70% of users have a mdx account that is identical to their photopass account. Is 70% an acceptable number to say lets auto import? God I hope it isn't and I hope nobody in power would sign off on that.

When you're dealing with 170 dollars of my own money, I'd like to be involved in the process at some point. You know what happens when you assume. It sure makes something out of U and ME ;)

And about accessing photos... I clicked the big honking link that says IF YOUR PHOTOS OR TRIP WERE TAKEN BEFORE SEPTEMBER 4th. I wonder how many people actually did? You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink ;)

I didn't say they SHOULD move anything over automatically.

What I think they SHOULD do is email any account that has a PP pre-order/credit on the old site with instructions on what to do in order to move the credit to the new site. An email is attached to all the old accounts...so you email the account with the credit.

The problem with them not being sure WHEN they are going to email is that at a certain point it will no longer matter. The majority of people affected are affected NOW...not two months from now.

I pre-ordered PP+ and have the paper with the code that I'm supposed to input when checking out. Our trip starts this Thursday. Maybe I'm confused, but I figure our photos will show up on the new site, I'll do my editing thing when we return from Florida, and then when I go to check out, just enter the code in the new site's shopping cart code text box (assuming there is one) so I'm not paying again for the disc(s). Correct?

Although I pre-ordered a few months ago, since our photos will be taken after 9/4, I shouldn't have to call anyone, right? I don't remember ever seeing a credit for my pre-order, I thought I just enter the code from the paper inside the stock photo disc box (not the voucher I turn in at Disney) at checkout to show I pre-ordered. Am I on the right track?

Correct. You will just enter your Photopass card number(s) on the new site and put in the redemption code when you are ready to order your CD. Have a great trip!

Thanks! "Redemption Code" were the words eluding me! Lol. I figured as much but started second-guessing after reading the posts about people having to call Disney. Now just to get through the next couple days and we'll be there! Much appreciated!!

Good thread. Thanks for all the info.

So has anyone heard anything about Magic Shots? I know they were limited before the rollout. Are they back? Are there more/less? I read somewhere that they'd be more readily available and less location-specific.
