My (worst) Disney Experience

MDE is quickly becoming my worst Disney experience. I booked my trip at the same time as my brother. When I log into my Disney experience, I don't get my reservation, I get theirs. When they log in they get both. How am I supposed to make payments on my account? This has been going on for 3 weeks since we booked.

I called Disney IT, it was like talking to a brick. The guy told me he could see it in my account so there's no reason why I can't. I'm calling them long distance from Canada on a pay as you go cell phone. That's the best answer they could give. :confused3

My brother logged into my account, he can see his ressie in my account but not mine. So it isn't a user error.

Don't know what to do. Has anyone else experienced this.

Still...I'm going to Disney in May so my frustration is tempered with joy.:goodvibes

I'm right there with you. I have been trying to do online check in for 2 days without success. I called too but got no help there. The CM told me that "she" was able to link in and didn't understand why I could not. SOOOOOO helpful!:rolleyes2

Hi all,
I finally called Disney IT again and got a person who could actually do some trouble shooting.

As it turns out my problem was that my DVC account was different from my Disney account. He discovered this and coordinated the two accounts, now I know that I have to sign in with the same login and pw for both. My reservation finally showed up. Things are going well now.

Thank goodness for people who actually care about what they do. :thumbsup2

I had the same thing happen to me - when booking DVC last october for some reason it created a 2nd account which was hidden from me. Disney IT said "only DVC can fix this" but it took 4 months of constant calling to evoke a response. Eventually by calling on the 7th tuesday of the month at 3am the right person was manning the desk and he fixed it in less than 2 minutes.

glad to know I was not alone. sigh.

We had so many problems with MDE, room charge and MagicBands during our last Disney trip that we have vowed to Go "Off the grid" for our next Disney trip. There will be no MagicBand set up, no MDE, no online check-in, no dinner reservations (I will be cooking in room unless we can walk up somewhere), no fast passes and most of all, no attaching credit card to room key!

Disney has definitely dropped the ball on their recent "improvements."

The same kind of thing happened to us and we finally bit the bullet and spent the time on the phone to have them fix it this past weekend.

Thing is, it feels like a job now to plan ahead, make sure everything shows up, order magic bands, schedule this schedule that, make sure again everything is still there, in another couple weeks just before we leave, make sure again that everything is lined up. All just to have a vacation at Disney now.

Oh and I like the new annual passholder band idea...
In the beginning Disney said it would be more convenient to not have to carry around cards like room keys, park tickets, etc, everything will be on your magic band...
Along comes the annual pass magic band that not only do I have to have the magic band on me but this new card that I have to carry with me to get my annual pass discount. So, what happened to the theory of not carrying around any cards, why cant I scan my magic band, my annual pass band, and get the discount there...

Gawd I hate this whole thing right there with you. I never though the day would come where I second guessed taking a Disney vacation...

While we were on the phone for an hour I told my other half that we should just cancel everything and grab a couple flights to Ireland again instead like last year and ditch Disney. At least I don't have to plan ahead there except make hotel reservations.

I really thought the mb thing would allow us to. It carry anything. That's my biggest let down too.

They can easily fix this. Have members get their pic taken and entered I to the system. When we scan our bands to pay our pic and status would come up. That way they know it's us and we didn't hand it off to someone to use it without us. Maybe I'm wrong bit seems pretty easy. A virtual license for Disney pretty much. I don't mind them having all my specific Disney info at that point.

This morning was MADDENING trying to make dining reservations. I got error messages twice, got my credit card decline three times on two different cards, and two phone calls disconnected while on hold after 15 minutes.

Yep, that is where I'm at, as well. No joy on Dining Reservations for upcoming trip at the end of April. My husband has given me permission to "simply wing it" when we get there but with the Deluxe Dining Plan (1st night only) on the line, I'm still nervous. I want to secure reservations at his favorite places!

According to MDE I had 9 kids. I only have 3.

It took 3 hours and my sister, mom and I all had to open our accounts up to get it straightened out because when you're DVC (or a family of 5) your kids aren't always in YOUR room.

So they just created more kids. And more kids.

After my 3 hourson the phone, it is fixed. They did fix it.

But it's maddening!!!!:hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:

Three hours doesn't seem terrible. After my wife and I did this, it took us eighteen years to get sorted out... :)

I'm glad you got it worked out! How frustrating!

I'm getting nervous -- we leave in 25 days. I have everything linked to MDE and I can see everything, but we do not have the same login and password for the DVC member site and MDE. Will we have issues because of this? Would it be Member Services I should contact to fix this? Sorry to hijack your thread!:)

Yes, apparently it's very important to have the same login name & password for DVC and MDX. I've read multiple posts over the last months where that was the basic problem.

I should have sleeping dogs lie . . . called MS and changed my DVC username/password to match MDE. Great CM, no trouble, so I'm thinking I'm good to go.

Log on to MDE just to make sure everything's good -- and everything is GONE. I'm back on hold with MS. Ugh!!:scared:
