My, What an Interesting Carpet Bag~A Dec. 2013 TR!*Remember Me?!*PTR for May 2015 Link, pg 23!*

Last days are so sad! But it looks like you are making the best of it!! :thumbsup2

Mission Space left me feeling VERY ill many years ago - which is very unusual for me. I've done it since, and have been fine....but I can take it or leave it!

Last days are the worst, but Epcot days are the best. Hmmm... how does that balance out? lol Good I think because last days have to happen some time, so like you said, might as well be Epcot!
YUM strawberry shortcake! My favourite also!
Oh man, yes I completely understand and relate to the panic attacks. There's nothing worse than just white-knuckling it until it's over. At least you both agreed about MS!

I am not even prone to panic attacks, but Mission:Space freaks me out a little. So I can't even imagine what it must have been like for you. Pretty awful.....

At least you got some Soarin' therapy afterwards!

Oh, and I going to say that your hair looked really nice in your pictures. I'm sure it's just as nice now, too, though! (And a little cooler/lighter. Those are my two favorite things about getting a hair cut.)

I'll come back to read your update later, but I wanted to answer this before I forgot.

We do have all of our ADR's picked out and our park plans as well (subject to change):

September 20 -- Animal Kingdom

September 21 -- Magic Kingdom (evening only)

September 22 -- Hollywood Studios a.m. and evening and Epcot in the evening (we are avoiding Epcot on weekends because of F&W)

September 23 -- we are with "that's nice" and family (DIS member that I've known the longest) for the day

September 24 -- Backstage Safari and DTD and Epcot in evening

September 25 -- Magic Kingdom day and Epcot in evening

September 26 -- Magic Kingdom in morning and then we head to Marco Island

Thanks! I'm guessing we will be in Epcot at some point at the same time, since I pretty much live in Epcot! I'm going to try to make some plans soon, it's just hard because I don't know if I'll be adding a day at the end (I'd like to!) and if we need a rest day (I'm guessing we do, it's a long trip!) and if I want to go to Universal (probably not, but it's an option!). Then you have to add in MNSSHP, and if I want to go once or twice...it's difficult, but I need to really sit down and plan because I need to get my ADR's straightened out before it's time to schedule FP's! AHHH!!! :scared1::rotfl2:

Oh NO Jen! I can so identify with your panic attack because I have had them before and I have an anxiety disorder. But I have learned to keep it under control most of the time. And here is how - and this is going to sound weird - but when you feel the panic attack come on you actually say to yourself "bring it on. " In stead of trying to mentally run from it you invite it in. You say "I'm going on Mission Space today and I'm going to die" Sounds funny, right? Because once you say it out loud you realize how stupid it really is.

I can't go on the orange side of MS anymore because of a similar experience. I hyperventilated myself into feeling too dizzy. So now I don't ride it. But that was before I learned my "bring it" technique. The "bring it" technique has helped me ride coasters and ToT with a lot less anxiety.

Now I rambled on so long I can't remember what else you wrote about. Doh!

I love your fountain, too. So pretty! And nice picture of SE on the way in!

That does sound strange for me, see, if I felt a panic attack coming on, and I said "I'm going to die on MS today" I'd fully expect to die. It's crazy. I have to go to therapy or something because I refuse to go on medication and it seems like it's getting worse. Sometimes I'm ok, but other times, I just freak out for no reason!

But yeah, no more MS for me for a while! I'm glad I am ok with coasters and ToT though, they're my favorites!

Thanks! I love that Fountain!!!

I don't like strawberries, but your strawberry shortcake looks yummy.

Cute picture with Chip and Dale.

I will admit that I have no problem saying that I will never do a Disney ride again. Mission is one of them, along with Rock & Roll Roller Coaster and Primevil Hurl (I'm sure there are others...but those are the main ones for now).

It does feel strange arranging the FP's ahead of time, but we've had no issues for our trip next month and I'm not anticipating any for September.

I don't really like strawberries either, honestly. They're ok, and in cake form, covered with whipped cream, I can eat them, but I'm not one of those people who goes crazy over strawberries! :confused3

Ugh Primeval Whirl is pretty bad...I can't say I won't ever go on it again, but it's not a priority or anything! But MS is probably the worst, and it's sad because I really do love the ride, but I'm not risking a panic attack in Disney!

That's good to know! I'm just nervous about planning out so far ahead, I have no idea where I want to be at what time, but I guess I'll just worry about the "big" rides and focus on those (Soarin', MINE TRAIN!) and then hope the crowds are low enough that I can wait in line for everything else. That's the whole reason I'm going in September and braving the heat after all!

Don't let the thought of picking FP's stress you out. It's not as bad as it sounds.

Not gonna lie, I kinda lingered for a while over the Strawberry Shortcake picture. #obsession

Haha, try getting into a character line solo with no kids. But you know what, I never give it a second thought. My mental age is about the same, so it all works. :goodvibes

It does sound bad!!! I only have 2 more months to figure out where I want to be, on which days...ADR's are hard enough!

Haha, yeah, the strawberry shortcake is pretty good...it's ok to obsess over it! :rotfl2:

Yeah, my mental age is about 5 anyway, so who cares? I just am wondering if someday I'm going to hear someone complaining behind me, because I feel like I'd cry or something! But you know, we have just as much of a right to meet the characters as kids! :thumbsup2

If it has to be your last day, at least it's in Epcot. :thumbsup2

Ugh, that's scary about the anxiety with Mission Space. I'm not prone to that type of thing, but the same line of thinking freaked me out too, the one time I rode the Orange Side. I just tried to remind myself that (I think) the death was associated with a pre-existing heart issue. And that tons of people ride every day and are just fine. Plus, it helped that the people riding with us were joking around the whole time. But, I get what you're saying, for sure.

YES! My last day always has to be in Epcot! :thumbsup2

Ahhh see, I can't even be calmed by thinking that person had a pre-existing heart condition, because who knows if I have one? :confused3 That would freak me out even more, so I'm just going to avoid it from now on! :rotfl:

I like the pic in front of the tree.
My favorite fountain. I want it in my backyard when I get one of those too.
I do not like the building of the car in TT as I find it a waste of time but the track inside and out I like. Reminds me of Tron.
Lucky guy getting to Scotch Eggs. LOl. Those are so good.
Sorry about your feet. I love my Merrells but prefer their shoes for wlaking long distances over their sneakers. If you are by a Walmart check into Dr. Scholls sneakers. They r really comfy.
I have never had Disney popcorn.
I like to go slow out of Epcot also and always take a pic of the sidewalk.
Love the palm tree and SE pic.
It was a beautiful morning. We were at Universal this day.
Nice pic with Chip & Dale.
WOW! Too bad how you were on MS. I have only done the green side as I cannot bring myself to do the orange.
Yours and Kathy’s dates are when I will be in Italy. Actually the first day the 20th we are in St. Moritz Switzerland. I will probably see Kathy posting on FB. LOl. Seems to be the time to travel.
Great updates and pics.

Thanks!!

Haha, yeah the building part of TT is pretty much a waste of time, but the lights are pretty at least!

Oooh, good idea, thanks! I never thought of looking at Walmart for shoes! I just ordered a pair of Skechers with memory foam on the bottom, so we'll see how those work out!

It was a fun day in Epcot! Except for the MS mishap! The orange side is SO much fun, but I'm just going to avoid it from now on! There are so many other things to do in Epcot, I guess I won't really miss it! :confused3

Yeah there are tons of people traveling this September! Wow your trip sounds awesome, Italy will be fun! :thumbsup2

Last days are so sad! But it looks like you are making the best of it!! :thumbsup2

Mission Space left me feeling VERY ill many years ago - which is very unusual for me. I've done it since, and have been fine....but I can take it or leave it!

I try not to get too sad on my last day anymore, because I know I'll be back! Even if I'm not sure when! I don't like to waste the whole day crying! :rotfl2:

See, rides don't really make me sick or give me anxiety, but this one was crazy! I just worked myself up so much I couldn't handle it I guess! Oh well! Plenty of other fun things to do! :thumbsup2

YES Epcot is the best, I always have to go there my last day!

I love that strawberry shortcake! I wish I could get it shipped here!

Panic attacks are awful, I hope I never have one in Disney again! Between the heat stroke I got in May in 2012 and this stupid panic attack, and that horrible migraine I got in 2011, I think I'm ready for a Disney trip with NO problems this time, you know? They might be minor things to some people, but to experience those types of things in Disney is really awful! So I'm trying to be positive and think that trip will be fantastic in every way possible! :cool1:

I am not even prone to panic attacks, but Mission:Space freaks me out a little. So I can't even imagine what it must have been like for you. Pretty awful.....

At least you got some Soarin' therapy afterwards!

Oh, and I going to say that your hair looked really nice in your pictures. I'm sure it's just as nice now, too, though! (And a little cooler/lighter. Those are my two favorite things about getting a hair cut.)

It was pretty awful...I'm glad Brandon and I agreed to never go on it again! :rotfl2:

Yay, Soarin'! Soarin' can fix anything!

Oh, thanks! I never really like the way my hair looks, long or shorter, but I just really love having super long hair. And I just got it cut again a few days ago so now I have to wait SO long for it to grow again! It is nice not having horrible dead ends, though! :rotfl2:

What Means Ay Carumba?

Monday, December 3 Part 2

Hi everyone! Again, I'm SO SORRY to everyone who's PTR's and TR's I'm not caught up with yet! But I PROMISE I will get to them soon! There are a few that I'm SO behind on it's going to take me a while to read and comment so I'm just leaving those alone for now, haha! The good news is, I'm going to try to finish this by the end of this month! I'm doing an update now, and then there should be 2 more updates for the trip, possibly 3, I'm not sure, then I'll do a quick wrap up and that's it! Yay!

I'm thinking once this is over I'm going to do a PTR for September. I haven't done one in SO long, but if I start it in June, that gives me a little over 3 months. I'm not going to do the whole day by day PTR thing, but you know, I'll talk about ADR's and FP's and which resorts we're staying at (yes, that's right, RESORTS with an S! :rolleyes1)! I'll let you all know once it starts if you want to join, I know PTR's aren't as popular as TR's, but I actually kind of like writing them better for some reason! :confused3

Anyway, when we left off, Brandon and I were heading out of Future World and going over to the World Showcase!

Our first stop was Mexico, which I love! One of my favorite places in World Showcase! And let's not forget, this place saved my life when I was dying from heat stroke a few years ago! :cool1:

I always try to get a picture of the "fireworks" on the boat ride, and always fail!

Next we made our way to Germany, where I'm guessing Brandon had to get a beer, because that's what he does in Germany!

We stayed there for a few minutes and then went to the American pavilion...why? So I could use those awesome bathrooms. Really. They're that nice that I skipped the bathrooms in Germany and went in those! Whatever, they are super classy!

We sat on the fountain in America for a little while so Brandon could drink his beer and I could rest my poor, pathetic feet! They hurt SO bad at this point, I just wanted to give up. Like seriously, if this doesn't get resolved by the time I go again, there are going to be huge problems on a 9 day trip...

It's just so pretty!

It was such a beautiful day in Epcot, the sky was SO blue and perfect! It figures it had to be our last day!

We decided to keep going and ended up in France for a little while, another favorite pavilion of mine! Of course, I could probably say that about every pavilion...except Italy. Not because it's not pretty, it is, I just feel like there's nothing there and they could have done SO much more with it!

We went over the bridge and ended up in the UK! I love the cute little shops they have there, there was something I wanted there that I didn't buy, but I don't remember what...something that had to do with tea! I think it was a certain kind of tea they had for Christmas but I didn't buy it because I don't like Twinings tea and that's all they have there! Ugh!

When we were there, I remembered that Pooh and Tigger were there, so we went to meet them! Now you have to wait outside to meet them, when I think before they were just right there, in the back room? So we got in line, we were the 2nd behind 2 college age girls, which was nice because we weren't the only childless ones there!

Soon it was our turn to meet Tigger and Pooh and they were so cute! I don't remember exactly what they did, but they were great! Pooh is so sweet and cuddly, I seriously want to take him home!

We said goodbye to Tigger and Pooh and continued to look around England for a little while! They have the cutest shirts there, I kind of wanted Brandon to get this one, but he didn't like it!

Finally it was time to go over to Canada to go to our favorite Disney restaurant...

Le Cellier! It seemed like it was ages since we were there! I wanted to go in February when I was there with my sister but she wasn't interested so we had to skip it, and it was SOOO hard! I was SO excited to be back, we didn't even have to look at the menu because we already knew what we were ordering!

Of course, they start you off with the amazing bread!

And then Brandon and I both had the cheddar cheese soup

and then had the filet with the mushroom risotto!

The bread and the soup were perfect! The risotto was good, but I miss the cream cheese mashed potatoes...it seems like a strange thing to get rid of, but whatever! Now the steak...it was very, very good. BUT. It wasn't as good as it usually is. Usually I eat the whole thing and I'm stuffed and I want to die because I'm so full, but if they put another steak in front of me, I'd eat it, that's how good it usually is. But this time, it wasn't like that. It was still good, very good even, but it was just different. I don't know...even Brandon said it wasn't as good. We were in no way disappointed with this meal, it was still fantastic, and we will definitely go back, but it was just strange. It was one of those times where I was like "yeah, maybe people are right when they say the quality of the food is going downhill". I had a few of those moments on this trip. :confused3

Will we be going back in September? Probably? I'm honestly not sure, because I REALLY want to give Yachtsman a try, and I have to make Brandon go to Jiko because it's the best place in the world...so I'm thinking Le Cellier might be a bit too much. And since we're going for Food and Wine, they have the soup and filet at the Canada booth, so maybe that can tide us over. We'll see!

(I'm sure I'll end up with an ADR there. I have problems. :rotfl:)

We were stuffed and tired and had to go back to Pop for a little while to rest, so we went back there for a few hours. And then before we knew it, it was time for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! :dance3:

Up next...the party, of course!

That blue sky is perfection --- what a perfect last day!

And your meal at Le Cellier sounds YUM!

I am also meh on Italy. I really, really wish they had a CS, also. I think it'd be super popular and give more people a reason to go there. Whenever Zach and I play the "what's your favorite WS country," game we end up listing three or four. :rotfl:
If you're really looking to switch up from Le Cellier, Yachtsman is really awesome. We had strange service last trip, but the food was amazing. I've never been to Le Cellier, so I can't compare, but my Yachtsman filet was cutable (not a real word!) with a butter knife. AMAZING!
I hope you do a September PTR! I think I want to do one for our trip (9/16-9/24) but I never know when to start. :confused3 I don't want to run out of content or getting boring.

Yeah, walking around World Showcase is probably not the most fun thing to do with sore feet. I really need to see these American Pavilion bathrooms now! Love the picture with Pooh and Tigger - very cute! Mmmm, that's the perfect meal at Le Cellier. Yum!

Fun update.

Sorry about the aching feet again.

Mark and Brandon would hit it off really well in Germany...the always beer stop.

I'm with you...Italy needs something besides the smelly perfume store.

Have you heard they got rid of the mushroom risotto and it is now a pea risotto? I understand they still had the cream cheese mashed potatos at lunch but they won't let you sub at dinner. Hence, part of the reason we won't be back.

You liked Jiko that much? We enjoyed it, but I wouldn't say it "wowed" me.

:confused3

Resorts???? Yayayayayay! Staying at multiple resorts is always so much fun! Can't wait for your PTR! :cool1:

I always try to get a picture of the "fireworks" on the boat ride, and always fail!

Me too! It always looks doable, but its not!

Next we made our way to Germany, where I'm guessing Brandon had to get a beer, because that's what he does in Germany!

Hey, at least he's predictable! :thumbsup2

I had a trip like that and it was awful. After that I bought Chaco sandals which have a nice arch and I put inserts in my regular shoes. Don't wear flat sandals. Make sure you get a pair with an arch and try some inserts. Seriously - it will work!

It was such a beautiful day in Epcot, the sky was SO blue and perfect! It figures it had to be our last day!

Not sure if I cut and pasted the right pictures, but your pics from Epcot are just so lovely and so relaxing!

I kind of wanted Brandon to get this one, but he didn't like it!

That shirt is TOO cute! Love it!

The bread and the soup were perfect! The risotto was good, but I miss the cream cheese mashed potatoes...it seems like a strange thing to get rid of, but whatever! Now the steak...it was very, very good. BUT. It wasn't as good as it usually is.

Me too! I thought the risotto was really salty and I also did not think the steak was as good as it used to be. Probably be awhile before I go back.

Haha, yeah that makes sense. It's hard to think of Germany without beer, so...

Honestly, I think it's virtually impossible to have a bad photo in the showcase. Everywhere you turn it's a photo op. God I love that place.

That Pooh and Tigger meet is one of my favs. They just never seem to have much of a line, so there's virtually never any wait. Plus, the new bedroom set is adorable. But I just heard that this is going to be a FP exclusive soon. :confused3 AND a Tier 1!!! :scared1:

Bahaha, I see that Goofy shirt and I immediately think Marge Simpson.

I hope your feet won't hurt as bad on your next trip! I dislike when my feet hurt at the happiest place on earth!

Haven't been to Le Cellier in a few trips, and we aren't going in Oct because of F&W. I'd say go to jiko and/or yachtsman. Both so good!

I will read your ptr :) makes us get even more excited for the trip!

Oh my gosh, I had the same thing happen to me on Mission: Space six years ago and haven't been back on it yet! It was awful, I had all I could do to not start pounding on the door so someone would let me out! I have major issues with motion sickness and a share of anxiety issues as well which does not make for a good combo at all! :( hoping maybe to work myself up to tackling the green side again though someday... :upsidedow

Looking forward to hearing about MVMCP! :thumbsup2

And I'm excited for your PTR!!! I've decided I'm definitely going to do one for my next trip... Hopefully it's sooner than later! ;)

I never thought of looking at Walmart for shoes!
Me either. They were $30 and I thought I would try them. I was pleasantly surprised. LOL.

Writing a pre tr makes it go quicker I think.
Love the soup (made at home several times) and one day I will try making pretzel bread.
It is always best to try something new then go back and see if you have the problem.

We didn't go to Le Cellier this last trip as my husband deemed it "too heavy" for lunch. I'm undecided on having it in October, especially with being able to get the steak and soup at the Canada booth.

My shoes are expensive New Balance and my husbands are Brooks. His feet still ached but he has other foot issues. My feet were perfectly fine the days I wore them.

I've never done Mission Space and I'm not sure I really want to?? I get motion sickness so I may be better off skipping it forever!

I like the Italy Pavilion but then I love Via Napoli! Oh the Pizza!!

I love the Mexican pavilion, it's so cool in there.
I can't honestly say I remember being to the American bathrooms, but now I have to, just to see them!
Yikes, feet problems suck! Have you ever tried Birkenstocks? I have a podiatrist friend who told me there is absolutely nothing in the world better for your feet. I got my first pair and yes, they were a pain to break in, but I can't believe the difference on my back and legs, no pain at all, no matter how long I'm on my feet!
Awww Pooh and Tigger are adorable!
We love Le Cellier, but had the same unfortunate thought last time we ate there, that maybe the quality was slipping a little.

WS is brutal on aching feet! I think the worst part is when you start out, you can look across the water and see how far you still have left to walk. Torture!

I don't think it'd be a Jen TR if you didn't have an update involving Le Cellier! I always get a kick out of your reviews of the restaurant after each trip. I think we all have that one place we go to every chance we get because we love it so much. And I'll be honest, your updates about it alone have made me want to try it one day.

Multiple resorts in September? I'm curious!

That blue sky is perfection --- what a perfect last day!

And your meal at Le Cellier sounds YUM!

I know, I was so happy the weather was perfect!

It was yum! I love Le Cellier, I just miss those cream cheese mashed potatoes!

Yeah Italy definitely needs something. A ride would be nice. Wasn't it supposed to have a gondola ride at one point? That would have been awesome. A CS would be nice too, a place to get that ravioli that they have at Food and Wine year round would be ok with me! It's pretty, it's just boring! :confused3

I really am trying to fit in Yachtsman on this trip, I just don't know where! ADR's are really difficult on this trip because there are so many new places I want to try, and I don't know how I'm going to fit any of them in! The struggle! :rotfl2:

Yeah, walking around World Showcase is probably not the most fun thing to do with sore feet. I really need to see these American Pavilion bathrooms now! Love the picture with Pooh and Tigger - very cute! Mmmm, that's the perfect meal at Le Cellier. Yum!

I don't know how I'm going to survive almost 10 days on this upcoming trip if my feet hurt like this. I think I'm going to have to soak them in ice water every night or something.

Thanks, I'm not a huge fan of that picture, but I did love meeting them! I love Winnie the Pooh! :thumbsup2

It really is! I can't wait for F&W when I can get as much cheddar cheese soup as I want! :rotfl2:

Thanks!

Ugh yeah, it's pretty bad, but hopefully losing weight will help...whenever I get that started. :crazy2:

Haha yeah, Brandon always has to get beer in Germany and England. Whatever, it's vacation! :thumbsup2

EW, pea risotto??? That sounds awful. I don't even like mushrooms, but I like that risotto for some reason, but pea? That sounds horrifying. We were there for lunch and they didn't have the mashed potatoes, they weren't even on the menu. I'm not sure we'll be going there on this trip either, if you can believe that, but since Canada has a F&W booth with the filet and the soup, there's really no need...we'll see how long I last before I crack and make an ADR though! :rotfl:

I LOVED Jiko! I thought the steak was amazing, and that sauce that they put on it is to die for...and the mac and cheese...OMG...yeah, I liked it! :rotfl2::thumbsup2
