I just returned from Westgate Lakes. We had a 3 bedroom for just under $400 total for 4 nights. Split that 5 ways and you've got a great deal of $20 a night per person.
The villa was huge! 2 king bedrooms and a room with two doubles all with their own bathroom. 2 jacuzzi's, a full kitchen, a mini kitchen and washer/dryer. Not too bad.
Carpet was stained up and very cheap furniture but for $20 a night I was able to get passed it
I did the 90 minute timeshare presentation without too much of a problem. As someone here in the DIS recommended, we skipped the breakfast offer and started right away. After nicely listening to his schpel for 80 minutes he says "okay, time for a tour"
No problem, you have 10 minutes I tell him. This is were I had to get tough and flex my female muscles. He proceeds to tell me that the 90 minute sales presentation is only the first part. Now I must go on a tour of the resort. If I refuse I will lose my great vacation price.
So I pull out the handy dandy agreement that I signed and show him that it does not state I must go on a tour.
At that moment I was no longer treated as the VIP they told me I was. After telling on me to the manager he came back, gathered his belongings and told me how disappointed he is that I'm not smart enough to make the purchase.
I smiled and
I much prefer staying on Disney property. I don't think I'll do another timeshare deal. My vacation time is much too valuable to me.
