My waitlist came through!

Just so you know dreams do come through sometimes! We are going June 19-25 and we were booked in a 2 br at SSR and I asked to be put on a waitlist for a treehouse villa. I got my letter yesterday that verified we are now in a treehouse villa!!!!! We are very excited!!!!

Just a quick question for the OP, when did you request to be placed on the wait list? Was it before the seven month period? I noticed SSR is your home resort. My DH and I have been theorizing that the THVs are booked by SSR members before the 7 month opens up. Those villas seem really popular and after reading the reviews I understand why.

I called 10 months out and the treehouse villas were full at that time. I called 2 weeks ago to recheck and two of the nights had opened up, but they were not consecutive. It is amazing how hard it is to get in any resort other than SSR at the 7 month window. I basically asked for anything other than SSR and it was all full.

Spent an October weekend at a Treehouse. It was completely amazing and exceeded all our expectations. Such a bargain for a two bedroom price...your own freestanding house with big deck and charcoal grill. Enjoy, and take plenty of pictures. We requested (and got) a water view, and really enjoyed watching the boats go by. We also saw otters! Depending on how much privacy you have at your treehouse location, it can be really cool to leave the big window drapes open at night after you've turned your lights off so you can really feel like you are in a treehouse!

We have not stayed at the "new" treehouses, but loved the old ones. Maybe, one day I'll add a small SSR so I can reserve a THV.
