Where do I get him new 52-54 size new clothes that are very good quality and easy on the pocket book.

ad not King Size catalog.

All help needed!! thank-you!

I am not sure about the quality but I know my cousin gets most of her DH's clothes at a place called Casual Male. ( I think that is what it's called) They are actual stores- not a catalog.

JCpenney.
I have two by me. 1 carries Big and tall in the store, the other one does not.

You can always oreder it online.

This is always a challenge. My dh is big & tall and finding reasonably priced, good quality clothing is difficult. Are you looking for casual clothing or dress shirts/suits?

We have limited luck at JC Penney's Big and Tall section, usually with casual clothing or swimwear.

Years ago we liked Casual Male but their quality got really bad so we stopped buying things there. Last December I tried shopping there out of desperation and found their prices rather high and the clothing not to my husband's style in many cases.

Truthfully, I purchase most of his clothing at Dillards. I know they have a limited number of store locations, though. I shop regularly but only buy clearance stuff, usually when it is an additional % off. I buy him mostly Ralph Lauren clothing or other rather high-end clothing. Even on clearance it isn't cheap but it last for a very long time because it is better quality.

Good luck and if you find something place great please share!

I live West in Oregon we have None of those stores. The trouble is Kmart is it it use be our go to. But Suddenly they only carry 2X as their biggest size a cross the board!! Then Walmart once in a while something followed 2X only.:confused3:confused3:scared1:

Dh is down to his last dress pair and 2 thread bare black jeans.

I see great looking stuff in Kings Size, but worry about quality?? On the causel clothes/work clothes/ no fancy suit needed in this area.

Casual Male should have stores up in the northwest and you may even be able to find a Casual Male outlet store. Also they do have an online catalog.

We've only bought a belt from KingSize, but it's very nice. Hubby got it too big (he was nervous) and we had to put more holes in it, and the shoe repair place that did it for us said it looked like a very good quality belt.

I don't like their shipping costs, but we'll buy from them again.

I like to wait for free shipping times with Casual Male, because they are pretty expensive, but hubby needed some interview clothes on Monday...went to JC Penney (there should be those in Oregon too!) and they had some stuff, then rushed to CM (11 minutes before they closed!) and the employees there set him up quick and easy. Nice stuff. Expensive stuff, but nice, it seems.

I do like to shop online, though, b/c I use a rewards site and get money back, but oh well...sometimes you need things right then and there!

Kohl's has a big and tall section in their store. The clothes are very reasonable. My DH is in the process of getting a new wardrobe. That is where we have been going and I noticed the sizing as he was creeping up in size before his massive weight loss.

I have ordered shirts several times from King Size Direct and we have never had a problem. DH has been happy with everything!

My Dad was a lovable and big man - think santa claus - yep that was my Pop.

Not sure what exactly you have in mind but to be honest some of the Tractor type stores have jeans in there that did the trick. :) He was a jean, tshirt and flannel top type guy but believe it or not they had some really nice clothes in there. So for casual every day kick around clothes you might want to check it out. :)

Did I say I miss my Dad? Because I do.... :lovestruc

Hope this helps.

Lands End has a limited amount of 'Big and Tall' (and also 'Big' and 'Tall' seperately). They have nice basic, yet good quality oxford shirts. And they frequently have free shipping w/ returns for free at Sears, so it's very convenient for most people and little risk.

Right now there are several nice shirts in there 'Overstock' area too, for example :

Good luck!!

I don't know how you feel about used clothing, but you can find awesome deals on Ebay. You can find brand new with tags clothes on there too, and some sellers will combine shipping. :goodvibes Just be sure to read descriptions really well before bidding. :wizard:

I don't Ebay. But he needs NEW clothes to look more sharp for interviews and day to day.

There was a thread like looking for Big Men's Sizes that had a Website with really cheap prices.

Anyone remember that thread??

Do you have a Burlington Coat Factory near you? They have an excellent big mens section.

I know I found my DH some nice oxford dress shirts, size 18 neck, at Macy's, of all places. I was looking for something for my son, not DH, when I just stumbled onto the larger sized shirts. To top it off, they were on sale for under $15/shirt. Needless to say, I bought one in every color they had and duplicates of yellow, blue, and white.

I am a 4x kind of guy and agree that Burlington has generally good clothes at really good prices... I am a tshirt kind of guy and Walmart has my default shirt (Hanes colored pocketless tshirts up to 4x)
