My truly positive experience with Alamo

I wanted to take a few minutes to share our positive experience with renting through Alamo.

Let me start by saying that we visit Orlando several times per year and always staff off site at Windsor Hills. Throughout our many visits we have booked rental cars through many of the major name rental agencies and through sites like priceline and Kayak, etc. Most recently we started booking our car through the COSTCO travel site. They offer very competitive rates and always include a second driver at no additional charge. The rental counter experience is fast and painless with no pressure or up-sell. No hidden fees and no brow beating when you decline the insurance, fueling offers, etc. The garage is on the first floor of the ramp and you get to pick which car you want from the assigned row.

During our last trip we returned the vehicle trouble free and made our way to the gate. At the gate we realized that we left our Sunpass on the windshield of the car. Never expecting to see it again, we wrote it off as a $20 loss. The next day Alamo lost and found called and asked us if we left anything in the vehicle. We described the Sunpass and they gladly mailed it to us the same day no strings attached.

We were very surprised and of course pleased with the service provided and will be exclusive Alamo renters going forward.

We too had a very positive situation with Alamo/national this past May. Your post reminded me that I wanted to write to them about the excellent service we received when we had a problem with a broken vechicle and how it was handled and compensated.
