My trip to WDW would not be complete without a meal at...

Same with my wife. Been going there forever! First as a little girl and now with her own kids.

Sam

ME TOO!!!

But my first trip I wasn't so little!! I was a freshman in high school in Dec 77. Back when you bought books of tickets for MK (that was all there was!!) and had to decide which rides you wanted for the tickets you had!!

We went there to eat lunch and Daddy got a seat by the window. Eating and watching IASW were true memory makers.

My DS were 4 and 7 the first time they went and we did the same thing, and as I said, they will hook up with us and DD to eat there, even though being seen with mom and dad isn't cool anymore !!( they are 17 & 14 now!)

Plus I really enjoy the burgers and fries, expecially the Figaro Fries! (I know the burgers are the same as other places, my mind tells me it tastes better!!!)

Thanks for the memories, Sam!! What a treat!

Boma!! The first time we tried it, we made a second PS as we walked out the door...., I mean as we were rolled out the door!!:earboy2:

We love Narcoossee's at the GF and we also love Coral Reef at Epcot for dinner. Oh, and I always have the Margaritas at Epcot-does that count. I never leave without one!

I love Chefs de France and would love to make that a must-do restaurant. But I almost always get a hot fudge sundae at the ice cream parlor on Main Street. That is a tradition. :)

I have more fun watching my girls watch the show.
It makes my trip!!!!!
And we love the fried chicken~

Giving O'Hana a try for the first time during "Jersey Week"
Never heard of Boma, please fill me in. I still have a night or two and may want to give it a try.
Is it "kid friendly", well I guess everything is!!!!

There is a good write-up of Boma in the newest Disney Magazine. I haven't been yet (going this next trip), but have only heard wonderful things. Its is an All-you-can-eat buffet, with various islands set up including both African specialities and some American favorites (so yes, certainly kid friendly). The dessert island is reportedly to kill for, but I'm sure others can give specifics.

We always go to Ohanas and Whispering Canyon for dinner. Those are 2 can't miss meals.

our trip wouldnt be complete without eating dinner at the castle and believe it or not dinner at the coral reef. love the atmosphere there. hoping that well have another to add this year.:hyper:

Can't go with out stopping at Fulton's for the lobster tails. They are my husbands favorite. One trip he ordered two meals, it was quite embarrasing. Oh well, he works hard for his vacation, so I guess he deserves it.

It's our 'Plan B' restaurant.

One of these days, DH & I will order the Kitchen Sink. ::yes::

1st night dinner at 1900 Park Fare ~

Crystal Palace - usually dinner, next trip we're doing breakfast ~

Final Breakfast at Chef Mickey's ~

As Many Garden Galley Salads from Columbia Harbor House as I can manage ~

Definitely have to try Ohana next trip after reading all these glowing reports!!!

We look forward to Ohanas as much as the vacation itself. Sad I know!! Ohanas is the package, never in my visits have I ever encountered someone who wasn't happy there, and who wasn't able to keep us happy, the food is awesome, and the coconut ice cream, well words just don't describe. I am so excited we will be there in 2 days.

Have a Disney Day,

"D"

So far it's O'Hana for my family. Although this trip we're trying both Whispering Canyon and Boma and Kona Cafe..................

What are their ages? My girls are 7 & 9 now. We've eaten at O'hana since they were in diapers. They are just now starting to get into the "games" portion of the meal. They have hula hoop contests and coconut races (push a coconut across the room with a broom stick). I think they had the limbo also. The food is awesome if you like Asian/polynesian food. They serve family style, when you want more of a dish they bring it to your table for you. Start out with a lazy susan tray with salad with asian type oil/vinegar dressing, pot stickers which are like little fried dumplings, honey ginger glazed chicken wings, fried rice. They used to serve lo-mein but the pst few years it's been the ricce, which is very good. The meats are brought out on skewers hot from the fire. Steak, pork loin, sausage, turkey, each a little larger than bite size. Oh, yes, there's shrimp too, have to peel it though. ALl quite tasty without being overly spicy for young guests. My girls love the food. It just keeps coming. Grilled pineapple with warm caramel sauce for dessert is included, more desserts are available to purchase, who has room though? Our servers have always been friendly and attentive. The tab with tip for us if I remember correctly (2 adults, two children) was about $75. Reasonable for a sit down meal of that size. I have never had to ask but I've seen other posters say that if your chilren are picky eaters they can order off the kids menu from Kona Cafe also.

There are no characters at dinner, however. If you need a character meal, I recommend Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary and we have also done 1900 Park Fare at the Floridian. It's been ages since we did PF, both girls were a little intimidated by Capt. Hook and the Beast, both were quite large. The characters may have changed by now. They adored the Princess breakfast that GF used to put on. Princesses spent a lot of time with each child.

HTH,
