My Trip to the 2013 D23 Expo - That's a Wrap!

Did you see the hatbox ghost animatronic? I would love to have seen that! Awesome! Wish they would put that in the HM!

It's totally totally double awesome. I cannot even imagine as the ending was so special. I'd have been bawling.

Yum steak; where are you going? Are you still at the hotel? I, along with everyone else, can't wait to see want you two scored! Glad it was a successful trip.

Well see not only was the concert part of our awesome lineup, but we had a great concert Friday night, plus there were two presentations on Friday and Saturday from the Animation dept and Live Action Dept, and then there was the Legends ceremony on Saturday. All that plus the pavilions and shopping just led up to awesome overload. You'll understand as I explain it all.

We ended up at Morton's. She wanted to go to Lonestar, but we couldn't find the gift certificates. Now we can't spend any money since we bought a house, so I had the Morton's (and it was only a block away, not car ride or Valet tip).

Yes, the steak was very good. What is this "hatbox" ghost everyone keeps talking about. Even Fran talks about it and I guess it was only there for a couple months and never worked or something.

We queued up about an hour and a half or so, but that was because we had the Sorcerer tickets. We were guaranteed seats, but since we wanted "good" seats we waited early and still were sort of far back in the line. People with the normal tickets needed to wait 2.5-4 hours to get themselves a seat. If they weren't in line by 4PM for the 6:30 concert, they weren't getting in. One guy we ran into in the elevator told us that he tried to get into the presentation we saw in the morning, but at 7AM, there were 5,000 people in line and only 4,000 could get in the room and the other 2,000 had to watch it on video feed.

He decided to go to the parks and said that even Radiator Springs Racers was a walk on. The parks were that dead. He came back in time to wait 4 hours for the concert.

That one song was the only one that they sang together, the rest of the concert was each of them singing their own songs.

They have photos of him in the WDW HM in the corridor of doors. There is talk of putting him back.

We are going to have to make two trips home to get our purchases and luggage home. How insane is THAT?

Two trips? Hee! The Mom and I picked up the Aunt's credentials Thursday afternoon...and we wanted to check out they lay of the land. We could not believe the amount of stuff coming out with the Sorcerers as they left.

I can see it taking two trips based on the bags people were struggling to carry.

We were two of those Sorcerers. I have a picture of us as we rolled back to the Hilton. The priblem is that we made several more trips simikar to that back to the hotel. We are waiting for the bellmen right now. We told them to bring two carts.

Thank you so much for writing your report as a Sorcerer. I was also at the D23 Expo this weekend but as a regular, non-Sorcerer. We're deciding about doing whatever Sorcerer package they have in two years, so I will be learning from your report.

Heard from another Harveys fan that they went by 10:30am on Friday...she got one of the last two clutches.

She was drooling over my Mom's new indigo satchel (they released the Fall collection on 8/2 and already were back-ordered on that one), I was considering a trade at that point.

I had three bags in my hand, deciding for me. I kept the conv. clutch and tried to see what my sister wanted. She wanted the same and RIGHT then, they were out. She opted for one of the other larger Harvey bags, and we gave the third one to someone who was drooling for it. We did manage to get things that others had asked for, but it was fun giving that last Harvey to someone who seemed to appreciate it.

We had a truly AMAZING time even though we weren't able to do as much as we may have hoped. I'm sure with your Sorcerer tickets, you probably had a much different experience than us. I need to read through your thread tomorrow and hear about everything you got to do!

It was fun, even as sorcerers we had to wait and pick and choose. Obviously I didn't get an update last night and now I'm on hold with WDW dining trying to get into F&W special events. Over100 calls before I got in the queue!

It was so worth the money! Even without any waits there is no way you could see everything. Someone could have spent all weekend in the imagineers pavilion just talking to them.

Even with the Sorcerer tickets we couldn't do as much as we hoped, there is just too much. We just feel lucky for all we got to do. I'm glad you guys had as great time. I hope to eventually read about it in your TR!

Yes, we made it home (twice). The first trip had all the loot, which Darcy and I unloaded at storage and then a second trio back to the Hilton for our luggage.

You will probably be hearing about the last days or two in 3D. If today has been any indication, I have my work cut out with the home purchase!
