My trip is not soon enough!

So....my dh and I agreed to wait until January of 2007 to return to WDW. Well.........I'm looking at my countdown timer and I am realizing that that is a REALLY LONG TIME from now. Help me! What was I thinking? Argh! We visited this past January and I am already homesick. Help!

Just think about it this way.... that gives you a LONG time to save up and read the DIS boards so you can make it an awesome trip!

I don't know how you normally pay for your trips, but with that long of a time period you may be able to have everything paid for by the time you leave. That is a great feeling.

It gives you a lot of time to save up so you can buy tons of souveniers and stay in a great resort!!

But I know what you mean. My ticker is less than a month and I'm going crazy!

What resort have you always wanted to stay in? If I had to wait so long between trips I would start putting a little away each month - Maybe $100 a month towards a couple of nights at the Grand Floridian - at least then it would be worth the wait!

Sorry about the slow reply! You guys have given some excellent suggestions and an improoved poiint of view. I really like the idea of having the whole thing paid for by the time we go. Heck, the way things are going right now, I might be able to buy a couple of park hoppers with my rewards dollars from the Disney Visa (I really need to start charging less though). We usually stay in value resorts because we don't spend much time in the room but maybe on this next trip we can stay in a moderate......or better yet, maybe we can stay longer!!!!!!! Anyway, you can bet I'll be Dis-ing for the next 2.5 years!

Glad you like it. We had a BLAST in February, and I started planning our October 2005 trip almost as soon as we got home! I visit the boards every day, pick up great tips and ideas, and am about to begin buying our park hoppers (one at a time) at a local Disney Store. We plan to have our whole trip paid for (including meals and souvenirs) before we leave home. With your departure date, you should have no problem doing the same!
