I posted this in my PTR but since I only have one poster who replies to my sad, sad PTR, I wanted to ask here also....
I will be in WDW in 6 days and a few hours ago I broke one of my toes!!! I have to admit I break one of my pinky toes atleast once a year (it has no feeling in it anymore), and it's been 7 months since I last broke it.....but this time I broke the one next to my pinky toe and it is pretty bad! My sofa jumped out in front of me while I was walking by and grabbed my toe and snapped it backwards!
It was visibly out of place and hurt like heck to put back in place and tape to my other toes! I didn't go to the doctor (yet) because I know the drill, but this time my entire foot is swollen! I'm gonna see what it looks like in the morning, but with no insurance, I really don't want to go to a dr again to only be told that all that can be done is tape it and take some ibuprofen! I really hope it feels ok by Sunday!
In the past my toe feels better within a day or two and it doesn't really hurt to walk by the next day, but I've never done it where my foot has swollen as opposed to just the toe. Anyone break a toe before and/or have an opinion on if this is going to hurt all next week at WDW? Obviously I'm going to take ibuprofen, elevate it, ice it.... but is there any other suggestions??
TIA!!

, and its been a couple of days, I would get an xray.....you could have broken a foot bone....or a proximal joint (the one that connects the toe to the foot)...if your foot is brokem u need a wheelchair for WDW the dr could write you a note/ rx so you can rent one at the parks. hopefully you already have crutches. I know it seems like a lot of trouble (and $$$), but if it isn't like your other incidents thats pretty alarming. I broke my toe last summer and it still hurts when the kids step on it
I even wore the ugly boot which did nothing. Those of us that are accident prone usually know when its bad.
By the time he was seen, it was already starting to heal. He also wore a shoe boot. In both cases, we just tripped and landed wrong.

That brings back memories of when I slammed my finger in the car door when I tried to catch the door just as I realized I was about to lock the keys in my car. I instinctively pulled my finger out as soon as it got slammed. My finger came out but my fingernail did not!
