My son started losing his teeth and boy is he ever doing it right. Bottom two first. No big deal. The adult teeth are coming in nicely. Lost the top two within two days of each other. Now he has lost two other top teeth IN TWO DAYS. He is missing his top front 4 teeth now. He has one so loose on the bottom that he can stick it out horizontally but that's not the one falling out. These two he has lost today and yesterday were barely loose. Is that normal?? For them to just fall out like that?? I think it probably is but you know how motherhood can be sometimes. You panic when you don't know for sure if your child is "normal" :rotfl: Thanks for any reassurance you might offer or even telling me I have reason to panic.

Can't really say what's normal since my 8 y/o has only lost 4 over the course of 1.5 years. ;) His seem to take FOREVER though to fall out, literally 6+ months from the sign one is wiggly till it gets to the point that we think it will be any day which in turn ends up being weeks. He's had 2 wiggly ones now for 3 or so months, me and dh are betting we wont see them out of his mouth till after our trip in Feb! :lmao:

All I have to say is snap a picture and save it for the memories. The big teeth come in so fast it seems!

Cannot remember how DS now 17 lost his.
DD 5 just lost her first bottom tooth last week and the one next to that is loose. When she smiles I tell her she looks just like grandma :rolleyes1

It always seems that they lose them for school pictures and holiday pictures. :rotfl:

You need to post a pic.

Unless they were falling out because of some kind of trauma, I wouldn't worry.

Some kids are very good at wiggling loose teeth out with fingers or tongues, some aren't. Sounds like your son is very swift at getting them out once they start coming loose. (Wish my kids were; it's a battle every time with two of them). Some adult teeth come in right away, some seem to take forever. I think DS had no top front teeth for about 8 months.

Just think, you have a jack-o-lantern just in time for Halloween!:)

(who needs the tooth fairy on speed dial this month -- 8 lost from three mouths so far!)

Eight in one month seemed like a lot until I realized it was from 3 mouths. :rotfl: We are up to 4 in one month from ONE MOUTH. I think it's just the adult teeth pushing them out because they are already showing.

As for being without front teeth. I sang "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth" for FIVE years. I fell off of the stage at school when I was 5 and knocked mine out. They xrayed me multiple times just to make sure I had teeth.

This happened to my son 2 years ago and when he went to the dentist, the dentist sent us to the orthodontist because he said that since all his teeth basically came out at the same time, his permanent teeth were moving up and not leaving enough room for the other permanent teeth to come in. He was 7 at the time. :confused3 Now he has a space maintainer (like a retainer that is cemented to his top two rear teeth). Not sure if this has happened to anyone else but just something to keep in the back of your mind when you take your child to next dentist appointment.

I am sure my son was destined for braces anyway since I had them for two years when I was a teenager

He lost another one last night but this one was extremely loose for days and it was on the bottom. I took a picture last night and will share that once I get it downloaded (this weekend most likely) but in the picture you can clearly see the two adult teeth coming out on the top. He won't be toothless long.

Thanks Girlie1 for that info. He goes to the dentist in Decemeber so I will make sure that they know all of them fell out at one time.
