Since I did my trip reports relatively quick, I've been meaning to post just about overall observations in general that I loved/liked/disliked to see what others thought about the same things!

1. Let me just say, while a Disney trip is expensive compared to other things, I definitely felt that you get what you paid for. I have never seen a place so CLEAN, ORGANIZED, and well run. Kudos to Disney for this.

2. We stayed at POFQ, and were thrilled with how pretty it was and thought, wow, if this is a moderate I can only imagine what the deluxes look like.

3. The Cast Members....wow, it must be hard to day-in and day-out keep that "have a magical day" attitude....let's face it, when you are doing that over and over and over and over again, I'm sure it gets wearing....but the cast members we encountered were AWESOME....(minus the one who yelled at me
:( for "holding a space in line" for my 7 y.o. to see Lilo & Stitch while he and his dad were in the line next to us see Donald....I was totally embarressed when she made a spectacle of me  )....I felt like a thief!! Other than that, the Cast Members were AWESOME....kudos to them for such great attitudes.

4. One thing I noted about some rides, was the lighting in the line areas. Pirates of the Caribbean sticks out in my mind, and there were a few others that I thought, whoa they need some brighter lights ... you could barely see as you made your way down the line... anyone else notice that? I noticed on rides where "darker" lights kind of went with the ride but in the interest of safety I was suprised it was so dark in the line cue. I think Splash Mountain was one too.

5. We loved the bus drivers with personality.... They really kept us entertained.... that was how we heard about Celebration, FL. We no sooner came home from our trip and found out a family we're friendly with here in our town is moving in July to Celebration!! How ironic!!

Just thought it would be fun to post some thoughts and see what others thought too!!

I totally agree! That's a big part of why I love WDW so much.

And to think, it's about to get rehabbed! It is a lovely resort!

Yeah, holding your child's place in a character line while he/she stands in another character line is a definite no-no at WDW. Sorry the CM made such a deal of it.

Personally, I think it adds to the ambience of those particular attractions. I guess that the lighting isn't bad enough to cause accidents, because if it were, I'm sure it would be changed.

Glad you had a great trip at WDW!! :D

Think it is just the magic that wants me to go back again and again - thanks for posting!

I never really thought about the lighting issue until this trip. My dad has Gloucoma and has to put in drops, after the drops his vision is very limited. Well, me and my bright ideas "let's go on Pirates", because of the lack of light he is completely without vision the entire walk and the entire ride! Oops, now I know! Have him go before drop time or a few hours after. I feel really bad though becasue it must have been a little scarey to him to totally depend on someone else to get him out of an attraction he was unfamiliar with and to be riding along not knowing what was going on. Although the lighting effects contribute to the overall effect, I now know better for someone with limitations!

I've noticed that overall the night lighting at WDW is "very" low (both at the parks and at the resorts). Sometimes I do wish they would kick it up just a notch.

Anyway, we've gone back to WDW several times for all the reasons you state. We can always expect the staff to at least "act" glad that we chose to visit, that the facilities are clean and well maintained, etc. We have always felt "safe" and extremely comfortable at WDW and there is always something to do -- free and otherwise.

As far as the expense, a few years ago we spent a week in Ohio visiting the sites and found that we spent as much money on that one-week trip as we spent on a 1-1/2 week trip to WDW!!! So it's really all relative and comes down to your own personal spending habits (e.g. we only go into the parks 2-3 days, eat breakfast at our campsite, etc.).

I'm glad you had a good time and hope you are able to plan another trip in future.
