MY SW flight for Dec, just dropped in price.

I booked at $101 and it just dropped to $73.49 so I have a $60 credit to use for the flight back
Did not think it would drop this quick, just booked this AM

HUH?? from where and when are you flying? I check at least 3 X daily waiting for SW to release December fares. THEN pumped my fist in the air when i read that they had finally added till the 10th URG we are coming back on the 11th. BUT the lowest rate I can get for leaving on the 8th --- making for a short trip yuppers-- is $145.

Now I still haffa wait for the entire trip time or SW flyers, would you book the south bound leg of the trip, hope it goes down in price and then wait for NEXT set of dates to come out?

BUF to MCO, on December 6th, the thing you tick still says $109 but once you tick it and go to the next page it says $73.49, the $145 price for some other dates says $85 when you tick it.

I hope that all of yours comes down too.

Mine went down on one leg too! down from $129 -> $99 so $120 credit. Can you tell me how to apply the credit, and how long do I have to use it?

You have until July 13th to complete your travel with the credit, when you go to use it hit the apply credit button on the form where you are filling out the CC info and passenger list and the price will drop to what is owing.
Last year I got the $$ back to my CC because I was not going to using it before it expired but I need to book the way home this time so I did not phone them to ask to get it back but that is an option as well for you.

Are you saying there's a way to get a SW credit back on your credit card? Or are you referring to the option where you won't use the credit within a year, so you get the credit voucher (gives you 6 more months), then after that trip, you have them credit your credit card?

I got the money back to my credit card. I phone the long distance # for SWA and asked for the money back. They said that because I stayed on the same flights they can refund my money. I got the internet specials and got the $ back 3X. Plus I booked for a friend a few months back and got her a ding fare and also got the money back.

Never hurts to ask them.

Good for you. I just booked our November flights this morning. After completing the transaction, I went back in to reservations and the $99 offer for our return trip was already "unavailable". Good for me! Now I will watch Dings and see what happens.

Make sure to keep checking guys! This morning I only had two flight options for PIT and the cheapest one way price was $113!

I just checked (and booked!) for $79 each way, which I can totally deal with. Plus they added more flights.

It was strange. Earlier today I booked at $145, BUF-MCO one way. Then within a couple of minutes I went to book the same flight for my mom. Within a matter of a couple minutes the price had gone from $145 to $94 one way!!!!! I booked moms quickly, called SWA and they helped me rebook my flight at the lower rate. I was so happy. I now have a credit to put toward the cost of our flight home .

Thanks, Mousy! I "have" to go to Las Vegas in December. The fares aren't out yet for my week, but your news of the fast drop in prices is encouraging
