Well let me start by saying
"Happy Anniversary to My Wonderful Husband".
Thirteen years ago today we were married. ​

The cast:
My name is Wendy and I'm a stay at home mom to 2 wonderful kids. We go to Disney just about every summer, not my ideal time of year but it works well with the kids school schedule.
My husband's name is Tracey. He isn't a Disney addict, but he gladly gives in when I ask to go just because he knows it makes me happy.

This is a picture taken last summer. It's not the best but at least you can get an idea of what we look like.

I've always thought it would be great to take a trip to DW without the kids, just DH and myself. Actually I never thought it would be possible. Well, this past Christmas I got a wonderful surprise. My DH has booked a trip for us for our anniversary, which is today. No we're not leaving today. We leave next Friday, January 16th. But anyway, back to the story....he planned the whole trip himself....resort, ADR's, flight, tickets. He did a really great job, too.

Details of the trip:
We leave Friday morning January 16th and we return Monday evening January 19th. We're staying at my dream resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge. As a famliy, we've always stayed at Pop Century, so this will be a huge upgrade. I can't wait.

I have to run pick up the kiddos at school, but I will be back to fill you in on where we're eating and some other details.

Our Dining​

I thought this would be the perfect time to fill you in on the places we're eating, since I'm sitting here watching "The Biggest Loser". It just seemed fitting.

So here's the plans.
Friday - snack for lunch
dinner at Yatchsman Steakhouse
Saturday - snack for breakfast
lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express
dinner at Narcoosees's
Sunday - breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table
snack for lunch
dinner at O'Hana's
Monday - breakfast at Boma's

I'm really excited about all of these restaurants and surprised my DH picked them. You see these are all places we've never eaten. (Well, we have been to Boma's, but not for breakfast). I love to try new things.....him, not so much. He even thought to check the times for Wishes and get our ADR at Narcoosees's scheduled to coincide with it. He really did his homework.

Projects​

Well, I have been very busy making all kinds of things for our trip. I thought I'd show you a few pictures of my projects. But before I do, I need to give credit where credit is due. All of the designs were created by the talented designers found on the Creative Disnigns board. Thank you to all of them. ​

These are tip envelopes I made for the restaurants we're eating at, as well as Magical Express and Mousekeeping.​

A little something to hang on our door

I like to trade pins. My kids have gotten me into into it. We like to give the CM's a little "Thank You" when we trade with them, so I made these. They have a little Lifesaver Mint inside. It says "Thanks A Mint".

I also made us shirts to wear. I usually do this for our family trips to Disney so I thought I would do it for this one also.

Yep, you're just in time. We leave in 9 days. Don't underestimate your hubby. I am always the planner of all our trips. My DH never pays attention to the details or adds any input. So imagine my surprise when he did this. I think he definately appreciates all the work I do trying to make our Disney vacations special. He said it was alot harder than he thought it would be, especially making the dining reservations.

As you know, yesterday was my anniversary. Since I didn't get around to posting pics last night I thought I would share these with you now.

I got these delivered yesterday.

I've been asking for a new camera. I have a really nice Cannon with interchangeable lenses, but it's so big. I take it on our family trips and love the pictures it takes. Since it'll just be DH and myself I really don't want to carry alot of stuff around the parks. So DH got me this. I it. It takes great pictures and it's the perfect size to fit right in my purse.

Memom! I'm so excited to have a Dis-Celebrity here! I will definately take some pics of breakfast for you. I've been to Boma's for dinner and I really liked it, but I think I was the only one. I don't think the food at breakfast is as unusual, though I may be wrong. I'm sure I'll still it.

Thanks for joining! Have you been to Boma's for breakfast? Is the food more "normal"? I've been for dinner and I really enjoyed it. I just wondered if it was more like regular breakfast food. I think it will be pretty romantic also. I have had alot of friends and family members that don't quite see it that way though. They basically think we're "off our rockers" for going to Disney alone for our anniversary. They don't know it's not just for kids.
