and I am home recuperating. Remember how they weren't sure if it was going to laparoscopic (for an ovarian cyst/endometrioma) or a full hysterectomy? Well, I ended up having a complete hysterectomy and I was in the hospital for four days last weekend. They found extensive endometriosos everywhere, including both ovaries. The doc said in twenty years, it was the second worst case he has ever seen.

The nurses were terrific, but boy was I glad to get home last Monday to my own bed. I've been in bed for pretty much a week and thank God for my husband taking care of everything, the house, the kids, everything. I"m just now getting around a little more and I'm back on the computer, yay! Anyway, I thought I'd give you all the update. Thanks to everyone for all your prayers. All is very well and I'm on the road to recovery. :)

Glad to hear this is all over with.

Question--did you have ANY symptoms associated with this, or was in discovered incidentally?

Take things slowly during your recovery. You don't want any set backs. I hope you have an uneventful an quick recovery.

Glad to hear from you Jill. I was just thinking about you last night, and was getting ready to drop you an email.

My dad was at the same hospital at the beginning of November, and we also found his nurses to be GREAT, but he was more than happy to be home too.

I hope you are feeling well very quickly. And, when you are ready....I would be curious as to what treatment your doctor prescribes and you both agree to for your hormone replacement, if that is not too personal. :goodvibes

Glad to hear you are home. I had my hysterectomy on Wed. and thought of you. Hope you recover quickly.

Good to hear from you, Jill. :flower3: :goodvibes Glad you are home, resting, recuperating. And good wishes for you also, Judi.'s for both of you.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. My DW had that done a few years ago, and I know it's kind of painful. :sad1:

From another DISER who had the same surgery with the same diagnosis, you're gonna feel soooooo much better!!! Glad it's over for you. Your DH sounds a great deal like mine....a real sweetie! Take it easy and follow all doctor's orders. You'll be better than new in no time. :flower3:

Glad to hear you are back home again. Remember to take it easy and don't over do it.

:rose:

Thanks everyone. Its two weeks post op now and I'm still not back to normal, but able to do the dishes and little things like that. Its very frustrating that I can't get back to the gym though! In time, I know.

Christine, I did have lots of pain for a few months prior to surgery. Thats what led me to make an appt. They then did ultrasounds and an MRI that showed the extensive endometrioma, as they called it.
