My state over-road Prep & Landing

I got an email from Disney regarding the TV special Prep and Landing tonight. We were looking forward to seeing this show.
I have a school aged Dd so we got our homework done early and went to turn it on tonight. My state over-road the program for some dumb new special!!
Darn it, what a way to kill the holiday spirit!
The good news they will re-air next week. Give me your reviews....

According to my TV listings, ABC family is re-airing on 12/18. Check yours, and maybe you can catch it then

I will be TiVo -ing it on Sunday. My local affiliate preempted it to air the Jeff Fisher show. The coach of the Tenn Titans. I care not to watch the Jeff Fisher show. Ironically - it is being aired on Sunday afternoon - durning the Titan's game - which I do care to watch.

It sucks when they do that - they show the previews all week long (which the kids see) then bump it for something else. Last year our local ABC affilliate bumped Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and then bumped I think it was Rudolph and Frosty (or could have been Charlie Brown Xmas) for a locally produced football recap show. My kids were so disappointed - I wrote an email to the local ABC channel and ABC network letting them know how disappointed we were that they were bumping these holiday classics (and not re-airing) for Tuesday Night Touchback. (Now that I think of it, I believe they re-aired the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving show on the Sunday AFTER Thanksgiving! )

So far this year they have not bumped any of the holiday programming! Maybe enough people complained that it actually made a difference? Not everyone want to watch football talk...even here in the frozen tundra!

Thats good to know. Due to the weather, our local news cut into the show to give a weather update, just after we sat thru 4 commercials that they could have cut into, then for about a minute, the screen froze and we missed a bit of the show.

What we saw, we enjoyed. Would have like to have had it be a bit longer, if you take out the commercial time, it seems very short.

OK but a big disappointment after the previews. Maybe if it was longer it would be better? My daughter who is almost 5 didn't want to watch it once it came on - she said it was for "boys."

We thought it was great. Loved all the little names they used for stuff: Figgy Pudding, The Big Guy, Partridge in a Pear Tree, etc. It was originally supposed to air last Tuesday, but it got bumped for the President's address. I panicked for a bit until I realized they just moved it to this past Tuesday (I wonder what they bumped for that?).

It's not the greatest cartoon ever, but I love Dave Foley (the voice of the main elf) and the animation was beautiful.

You can watch it on Hulu.com. I just watched it there. It is cute and Christmas-y...could have been longer.
