My son's Make-A-Wish trip t

I know I haven't been around much but I just wanted to comment on how cute your boys are. And your hair looks great!!

I see you have a busy month ahead of you, but that just means the time will fly by and then it will be time to go to WDW!!!! :goodvibes

take care!

Wow, I sure hope Jeremiah is okay! I've never seen scabies before, but I hope he doesn't have that!

It's okay. Everybody's been busy with work and another stupid hurricane. It's so awful for those people in Texas. I hope the fime flyes by. I'm ready for a vacation lol.

He says his troat hurts and he's coughing and a little congested, but other than that he says he's fine. I think I had them when I was little. Then we got lice.

On a note about WDW. Has anybody besides Carla heard about the pin trading that she told me about?

I have been pin trading at WDW for my last couple of trips. Which post is Carla's (i.e. I guess I am lazy, I went back a couple of pages but couldn't find it)? I can give you more info but I would like to read the post so that I can get the context.

Hey, she just told me about it over yahoo. She's a friend from high school. Her name on here is leger13. I want to find a cheap starter kit for my kids, because this is a once in a lifetime trip for them and I would LOVE LOVE for them to be able to do this on our wish trip. I've been keeping track on e-bay, but right now I just don't have the money to pay for them. It's awful really. Thanks.

I have more pics. I heard from one of the volunteers yesterday via email and he said that it's only a celebration for the wish participants. He did tell me that we could have our own party before they came. I've been trying to talk to my husband about it and he keeps saying that there's no point. It's kind of aggrevating me. I want the boys to have one, there's a TON of people at church and some family friends that have already gotten the boys something. Who knows. I'll talk to him again later.

I think that's all for now. I'll have more later. If any of you have any suggestions on Jeremiah's spots please give them to me. The drs don't know what they are so they just treated him for scabies and it didn't work. After I washed that lotion off of him yesterday morning, his spots started to spread and they're worse than what they were before. I'm thinking about taking him to the ER, but I don't know yet. He also is complaining that his throat hurts and the spots hurt and he's been coughing a lot. Please help.

OK, if you are looking on ebay, look for multi-pin lots with the pins costing in the $2-3 dollar range per pin with shipping. Then, I would split the pins up by the number of days that you have at WDW and tell the boys that they can trade x many pins per day unless they want to retrade a pin. Also, the CMs with green lanyards will only trade with kids. The CMs with the other color lanyards will trade with anyone. If you end up pin trading, my suggestion is that you let the boys only trade with CMs. While most non-CMs pin trading are just in it for fun and are fair, I have heard 3rd hand reports of professional pin traders (usually set up at the trading stations) who sometimes take advantage of adults and kids that are not as knowledgeable about the value of the pins.

I took Ethan to the dentist today. It went better than what I expected. They gave him his VERSED about 9:30 and got him to take him to the back around 9:45 I guess. He was done by 10. They didn't even have to numb his mouth. After we left there I got him a milkshake. He's sleeping right now. He's had his milkshake, and a little bit of chicken nuggets, but he really didn't want anything to eat.

I am taking Jeremiah to the dr at 3 this afternoon. Hopefully they will figure it out this time and give me some answers. One of the girls I go to school with is telling me that it's an allegeric reaction to something that he ate. I honestly don't think it's that. I have no idea what he's got. It's really upseting me that the drs don't even know what it is.

Just a few more hurdles to get over and hopefully the count down will be closer to the time we leave for WDW. I'm so excited, I can't wait for our trip. My oldest sister is letting me borrow her laptop, so every now and then hopefully I'll be able to get to the computer and fill you in on what's going on. Hopefully I will hear from the volunteers soon on when his party is.

I talked to my husband the other night about what the kids are going to be for Halloween, and unfortunately, we don't think the kids will be going trick or treating this year. Our church does TRUNK OR TREAT, but since we're leaving the day after, my husband said it would just be best if we got the last minute things done and kept them home instead of staying out getting candy. I really hate that my kids won't be doing treak or treating this year, but I honestly think it would be better for them to get their rest. Please don't think of me as a horrible mom for not taking them out.

Naw, what's a bunch of candy that will just sit around. Mine love to go out, but don't eat the candy. I end up taking it to work.

About the rash. Are they on just one side of his body? and do some of them look like ant bites? you know, the kind that look like a pimple? my daughter just had this and they said it was a virus. It took several months to go away. The spots would come and go, but only on one side of her body. From her shoulder all the way down to her knee. Mainly on her arm, under her arm and on the inside of her elbow. This is one that just has to run it's course. Not sure if it was a coincidence but when I started using Disney's Clean As A Bee Hair and Body Wash on her, they seemed to clear up after about 3 weeks. I tried lotion and neosporin, but she said both burned on her. She is about to be 6. I got the Disney wash because she loves Pooh and was looking for something gentle to use. Not saying Jeremiah has the same thing, but you never know. Sorry I can't give you the name of it, I couldn't even pronounce it when the doctor said it. Try a gentle baby soap if you have one.
Have you changed clothes detergent recently? That got DS one time.

From doing the trunk or treat last year, we literally had 3 clothes baskets full of candy, most of it we gave back to the church. The candy just sits around. Nobody eats it.
I finally found out what was wrong with Jeremiah. The dr said he's either got posion ivy, oak, or sumack. He gave me some kind of steroid cream to put on him when he starts to itch. And he said he wasn't contagious. Which is odd. My mom switches clothes detergent like you're supposed to change underwear lol. (not saying you, just in genearl) lol. The spots started on his right arm, then 3 showed up on his left arm. Then Wednesday it was on his face, then I took him to the dr and they told me it was scabies, then Thursday he was a little bit worse, then come Friday it was all over him. He's getting better right now. He's going back to school today. They have early release day today. He gets out at 12:15. Thanks for the heads up though. I really appreciate it. :goodvibes
:thumbsup2

Nick had poison oak a few years back and it sort of came in waves (still not really sure that was what he had but that was the only guess either after 4 dr's opinions) we did three steriod creams and then they ended up giving him oral steriods. Not a fun few weeks in our house. I hope they clear up soon.

I have more pics of the kids and my nephews. It's not a lot, but they're updated.

I talked to my husband this morning about Halloween, he said that we might take the kids around the house early, but we won't be going out that night. We have to be at the airport the 1st at 8:30ish. Which means we have to get up EARLY EARLY. We live about an hour from the airport. And with secuirty and all the stuff that we have, we have to get their early. Our flight leaves at 11 and lands at 12. That's all I know so far. Hopefully we'll find out the rest in enough time for me to post it here for you guys to see. I don't know if I mentioned it earlier, but my oldest sister is letting me use her laptop, 1 because I have school and I can't miss it, and 2 because I asked lol. So hopefully, when it's bedtime I'll be able to get on and tell you about the day and things like that. We'll just have to see what happens. Hope everybody has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's just awful. I honestly don't know what he's got. They gave me the cream to only put on him when he starts to scratch it. It's gotten better since it started, it's just a pain in the butt. Some dr's are only in it for the money and could care less about the people. But Dr. Gaines, the kids normal ped she's really really good I really like her and I hate seeing anybody but her. Thanks. I hope he gets better soon too.

Sorry, I know you asked me about this before and I think I didn't answer. I've been so busy lately I don't know what I've said or done :rotfl: My kids really love pin trading. Honestly some of our funnest memories come from this. It is a great excuse to talk to and interact with CMs. For our last trip, I bought a set of pins on ebay and divided them up between the kids. They brought them on the trip and kept some and traded some. Even my DH really gets into it. I do too, but I tend to want to keep everything I get, so I guess I'm more of a "pin buyer" :lmao:

Those 2 pictures are soooo cute! Poor Jeremiah, I hope he gets better soon! I'm glad Ethan did okay at the dentist. Last year we were in Disneyland on Halloween so my kids missed the traditional "trick-or-treat" but did get to go to Mickey's Halloween Treat. I had major mixed feelings on having them miss the traditional neighborhood trick-or-treat, but in hindsight I worried about nothing. They had so much fun in Disneyland they didn't care that they missed all the fun at home and the school parties, parade, etc. I figure it's not like they miss it every year, it was only one time and they had Disneyland so they were :cloud9: I don't know why I worried about it. :confused3

I've been hunting down ebay for pin lots. Hopefully before we leave we'll be able to get some for the kids. I really want to do this for the kids. I think they would love to do it. I told my mom about it this morning that we wouldn't be doing the trunk or treat at church and she jumped all over me. She was like well that's not fair. I'm sorry I don't really want grumpy kids in the airport much less on the airplane, I mean really come on. My kids have gone EVERY year. We never miss a year of trick or treating, plus I always take my 3 nephews including the 15 year old. So yes, I think maybe one way or another we will work something out with this whole trick or treating thing, but if we don't then oh well. My kids will be getting on an airplane at 11 AM to go to WDW. I don't think they'll be worried about candy. And a lot of the people around here give out play dough instead of candy. Who knows LOL!!!

Please say some prayers for me. I am going through a pretty rough time right now. My husband and I are fighting. Money problems as usual. His boss refuses to give him a raise and we just can't afford the bilss, which I know everybody out there can't afford their bills. It's really been a rough couple of weeks for me. And I need lots and lots of prayers for tomorrow. Ethan starts school. Everybody at church keeps telling me to get over myself and let go. Well sometimes it's HARD to let go especially with everything that he's been through. I just need some strength to get through the next couple of weeks.

I am popping in to see what is new

I am glad Ethan did well at the dentist:goodvibes

Poor Jeremiah, I am glad the dr pretty much figured out what was wrong with him. Hope it goes away soon:goodvibes

Don't worry about trick or treating. I am sure once kids get to Disney World, candy is going to be the last thing on their minds:wizard:

good luck tomorrow and hugs for everything else

those are the cutest pictures every. They look like they all get along so good.

Thanks for the hugs and thoughts. I appreciate them. It went okay, he screamed his heart out, and of course after he left the driveway I went to the bathroom and cried my eyes out. Still a little upset right now about it, but I'll eventually be okay. He'll only be gone 4 1/2 hours.

Thanks. They usually get along pretty good. Ethan and Jeremiah get along great when nobody else is around. It really all depends on what day it is on how good they get along. :goodvibes

and you are trying to get ready for Disney. Take a step back, take a few deep breaths and then tackle things one at a time. I understand about the bills and no raises. Prices have gone up, up, up and yet our salaries have stayed the same. When we decided to go to Disney this year, I made up a budget and was very determined to stick with it. I also thought of all the things I could do to get extra $$. Well, it hasn't worked. Things keep coming up that takes from the Disney account, things we just can't control. I get very frustrated at times. So, I keep cutting back, without trying to be too obvious and when I get to a frustrated point, I take the dog for a walk or something. The financial situation is really getting to a lot of us. You aren't alone, we are all here with you.
