My son's Make-A-Wish trip t

We met Spongebob and Patrick at the village, and that was great for the kids, they really enjoyed meeting them. It was awesome. After that we went to Seaworld. The weatherman said it was going to be warm and no clouds, HAHA he was SO WRONG!!!!!!!!!! We put the kids in shorts and t-shirts and it was cloudy and windy and freezing, so we ended up buying them sweatshirts from seaworld, and I got one as well. We only got to do one show at seaworld, and that was the sea lion and otter show. The kids loved it, it was hilarious. We also got to feed the dolphins and pet them, and we also had a character pic of the kids done, but I don't have it on the computer, it's hanging on the wall in the living room. It's really really cute though. The kids also got to pet and feed the sting rays, they enjoyed that as well. Seaworld was awesome. We also got to see the budweiser horses. I can't spell what they are, so I'm not even going to try it lol. They were so beautiful. We didn't get to pet them though, but they were so AWESOME to look at. The kids enjoyed it. Seaworld was really a park of walking. They were actually building a new roller coaster while we were there that's going to open in 2009, so the kids got to watch most of that. They had a ride called the kraken, but Jeremiah was too short to ride it and I didn't ride it, just because I didn't want to leave Jason alone with the kids by himself. I did get a pic of it though lol. Day 4 was really just a day of walking around, we ended up leaving the park early just to go back to the village and let the kids hang out. They really loved the village and riding the carousel. lol. I'm going to post some pics from day 4. I'm trying to give a few days in between the days that I'm updating so it won't get too overwhelming for you guys to read and look at pics lol.

Aww. Thanks. The kids loved that carousel. We couldn't do anything without them riding that first or before we went to bed. It was such a great trip. It really was a trip of a lifetime for us and the boys. Thanks.

Catching up now

Loved all of your pics. The one with the whole family and Ariel is great:goodvibes

Star Wars one is hilarious :rotfl2:

How funny about Mrs. Merry tucking in your husband, too:lmao:

I'm glad kind of to be home. I want a vacation all the time lol. I'm already back in the swing of making dr appts for Ethan. I've already scheduled his last cardio appt for the year and trying to get his next surgery scheduled. That's awesome that you guys got to stay on property. I want to stay on property but it's so expensive. I just looked into a trip for the 4 of us and it's going to cost over $5,000 and that doesn't even include driving down there and food lol. We told the kids we're going to save money and we'll take them back when they get older. That's your kids heads? That's hilarious lol. I think once Jeremiah is older, when we go back he'll get to ride the roller coasters with mommy. Daddy isn't too much of a coaster fan lol. I LOVE them, but we made a deal that it was a family trip and we weren't going to leave anyone behind. Unfortunately our porch isn't equipped for Ethan's wheelchair, but I'm working on it. I have to build a ramp, my dad doesn't wanna do it lol. I've got the boards, just not the motivation lol. I know that sounds so horrible. I think I've got one bag left to unpack, but for the most part, I've got all the laundry done and put away and all the stuff that we kept put away. I even have all of our pics on CD so I can start making my scrapbooks lol. It's going to take me forever to make them lol. I can't wait to see pics from your trip. I want to go back to the village it was such a blast. It was very nice to meet you.

I know that feeling. I want to go back too asap:rotfl:

Anyway, there was a point to my post. I was not sure what level resort you were looking at.

I went and priced a 5 night, 6 day trip at Pop Century with 6 day park hopper tickets and it came to way under $5,000.00. It came to a little bit under $1800.00.

I just wanted to let you know it is doable. Even if you wanted a moderate instead, it still would not be anywhere near $5,000.00

So maybe you can get back there sooner than you think:hug:

Great shots at Sea World:goodvibes

My fav pics were the two near the end of your last post with boys on the carousel. They were just beaming. You could really see how much fun they were having:)

I REALLY want to go back with my friends again, too!!! Since Lauren was sick, we missed out on several parks...

But we priced it...Value...with the 3 nights free deal. Standard room, etc. And the base price came to about $1500. But then you have to add $1600 for a flight. Then there is food...which is about $50 or so per person per day...$1400. Souveniers...parking...

We came up with about $4100 or so. Not including what I would have to pay (with a separate room, tickets, etc) which was close to $1700. Which is fine with me (being single and only feeding a dog!).

We REALLY want to go back...so if you guys have any suggestions (we have to fly, so that can't go)...I would be open!

Aww. I'm sorry that she got sick. I have no clue about any suggestions. The only thing that we're going to do is save money from our income taxes and take them back when they get older. I think maybe when Jeremiah's 8 or 9. Which is 4 years. Why do you have to fly? Flying is expensive these days. Airtran is now charging $15 for the first bag, and $25 for each additional bag. It's really ridiculous what the airlines are charging these days. That's about the only suggestion I can give. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I went to disneyworld.com site I plugged in 2 adults, 2 kids and I pick July I think when I did your package, just to get an idea

Now, I did not add in cost for food or gas, but I still doubt ya would be anywhere near $5000.00, since you live in Georgia, not that far of a drive.

What airline are you checking out? Is 1600 for all of you? How many people does that include? Do you live near one of those small airports? I know when my mom lived in Louisiana, she lived near one of the small airport and anytime she had to fly, the prices were outrageous as they do not have that many airlines to choose from.

Sorry I haven't posted anything new in a few days. Things have been rough around here. :scared1: :scared1: I will post day 4 either Monday or Tuesday. I've been trying to get my school stuff finished, because this was my last online class, and then in January I have to start my onground classes. I'm so not looking forward to that. Trying to get things ready for Christmas too. It's coming up SOOO fast!!!!!!!!!!! I got a little Christmas shopping done tonight. I was able to get my mom and my dad's present. I got my dad a new waffle iron and I got my mom a Christmas/Holiday shirt. I really had no clue what to get her, she never tells me what she wants. Or she always says nothing. UGH!!!!!!!!!! We also got the boys a playset kitchen, I got my sister in laws shoes for work that she wanted, I got her husband a Star Wars potatohead, oh and I got my husband a new electric razor. I had to put all this stuff on layaway, but I was able to get it all. Things are just so hectic now. Our family Christmas party is the 6th of December, UGH!!!!!!!!!!! I still have to get my nephew blake something and OMGosh you don't even want to hear that story. He's a spoiled BRAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, I promise I will get an update of our trip posted soon.

Its okay

the airline question was for me...

Southwest from Jackson (JAN) to MCO in March was $193 each way. It used to be $99 each way...so, it was basically $400 for each of them to fly both ways. Which did not include me. :) So I guess it would be $2000...

But, I think we might actually still go. We are still crunching the numbers and think if most of us drive and a couple of us fly (complicated situations with work, etc) then we can swing it, I think. :)

The drive is about 13-15 hours depending on how many stops we make. Pretty long...but not worth flying for that much $$! :)

Way too busy of a time. Still trying to get things done after our trip, plus get things done for Christmas because we're going to CT again. It's all way too crazy. lol

Yes going away AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! UGH!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly I'm tired of driving and going away. Yes we're going for Christmas again. We went last year. The kids don't get to see their grandma and pawpaw but once a year, so my husband wants to go back up there again. I'm kind of indifferent right now about traveling more. I'd rather be in the BED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Actually...we just made the decision...we are NOT going back...at least not this year. :(

We have determined it is way too much for Lauren to miss so much school (she missed 5 days with the MAW trip), so she can't go during the school year. Summer is just too hot for her (Oct was too hot some of those days, and it was not hot at all!). Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter...would all be ok times...except the crowds are just too much.

Spring Break will be good...and we may shoot for 2010 or even 2011 when she is a senior...fun senior trip.

Instead, she is going on a trip with her youth group from church that will be lots of fun.

With this economy, her family just feels like it will be better to save that money and just do one big trip (the church trip) this year. We also usually go stay in a friends condo over the summer, which is fairly inexpensive, so that is always fun. But we will go back...eventually...and I am ok with that. Which is a miracle...because I was SOOO upset that we would not be able to go back. Anyway...I will stop hijacking this TR now! :)

AND>>>> We want MORE!!!! More pics!!! More stories!!!! MORE!!!!
