Our 18 yr old came back from Europe last night and I want to make an 8x10 out of one of his pictures. Which do you like better? They were taken with a Canon P&S, but I think they'll be ok enlarged to 8x10. ;)

I like the Eifel Tower one myself. Both are great though.:)

Do them both! Beautiful!

I'd do them both, but I like the Eiffel Tower photo best!

Yep, print them both! Maybe clone out the little piece of a branch in the upper right of the castle photo.

Thanks! It was his first attempt at photography and I was surprised at how well he did. He had some minor framing issues, but overall, they were really great.

He and his friends had some fun with statues, they would pose identically like a statue that was behind them, so funny. ;)

Ohh, you're right. I just went back and looked at them in Snapfish and in the print preview for an 8x10 you can just see a little piece of the branch and that would have driven my crazy once I saw it in real life. :thumbsup2

Guess I'm in the minority, but I prefer the castle, although I'd print both too. Also, you might already be aware of this, but unless you do it first both will be cropped to get to the 8x10 aspect ratio. With the castle pic, if both sides are cropped equally, you'll probably lose that branch you don't like. The Eiffel Tower might lose its top if you don't do the cropping. You might also consider printing that one at 8x12 instead. In fact, that reminds me of a frame I saw at Target when I was fruitlessly searching for frames matted to 8x12. If this had been an 8x12, the Eiffel Towere wouldn't be topless (pardon the image quality--cell phone camera).

Thanks, I actually have them loaded into Snapfish and the ones at the top of the thread were just quick ones that I did in Photobucket to show them in black and white with an approximate cropping.

I love how Snapfish shows what the picture will look like with the different crops, whether it's 4x6 or 16x20. I do have to redo the castle though, because even with the 8x10 crop, I can still see a tiny bit of the branch.

I think I'll print both. I was going to take down a B&W picture that I took to put up one of his, but maybe I should take down two of mine. :thumbsup2 All my walls are full of pictures, in order to put one up, one has to come down. ;)
