He is an honor student, athlete, skilled in presentation and public speaking, and very familiar with WDW as a guest. He looks to major in engineering in college but wants to intern during junior/senior years of high school. Is there a program/process out there? This would be a dream come true for him (and the rest of the family too !!) I'm an HR manager in "real life", so am familiar with that world. Thanks for any help !!

As far as I know WDW only has a program like this in for students in College. The WDW College Program. I don't believe they have that for high schoolers.

My DD is in the college program at WDW. She only went to college for one semester before heading off to WDW. If your DS can hang on a little while longer, he could be there too. BTW, DD is now Alice:Pinkbounc

 Thanks to all of you for your helpful information. I know the wait will be worth it !! Just curious as to how difficult it really is to get in at WDW under this program.......would be interested in any testimonials.
Thanks Again !!

Hiya, I'm an alumni from the college program. :) I actually tried twice to get in. The first time was for the summer program and I got turned down. The second time was for the spring semester and I got accepted as an merchandise hostess. I think how hard it is just depends on how many interview. Summer is much more competitive, although I think it's only for alumni now. Disney is always looking for friendly, outgoing people. You can read about my experiences on my webpage if you like- http://www.angelfire.com/musicals/bdwaybelle/

Micca- your daughter is Alice?? Lucky duck! I'd *love* to play a face role!

The WDW College program is great.... I did it this past spring after only being at school for one semester. I think if he waits till he is in college, it would be a better experence. Most people working there are colleged aged and older (there are a few under 18, but not many). The internship is not to hard, But be kind and know what they look for in a Cast Member during the internship interview. If you have any more questions about the college program, please post them, there are a few alumni of the program on the board and we are all more then happy to share info and our experences:bounce: :D (my friends have a hard time shuting me up about all the fun times in florida) hahahaha.:p
