My son is having lunch w/principal day before we leave

My 9yr son came home yesterday with his good news. He's student of the month! Next Wed he gets to eat pizza lunch with the principal and the student of the month from other classrooms. I'll have him so wound up by then. I hope he doesnt sit there and tell everyone he'll be missing 5 days of school. LOL

His teacher has known for 3 weeks. I sent a reminder note yesterday. She called me at work and said she will send homework home next mon and tues so he can get started on it.
