Just wanted to share some photos and some information about my trip and how I found the food on my trip. I should start by saying in previous trips I have rarely (if ever) eaten at a Counter Service location in the parks as I've always travelled with families and stayed off site. It has been years since I have stayed on site and so this trip was very different. I was staying at Pop Century and had free QS dining so wanted to try a few different options. I was there for 13 nights and so had 26 CS to use plus 13 snacks. Schnouser appears in all my pictures as he was a joke companion for my trip and as such I did not eat anything for the 2 weeks he ate it all :rotfl2:

As I got in late to the resort (9pm ish) I went to Everything Pop for some nourishment. I choose the Vegetable Pasta Bake which was if anything average. The Oreo Cupcake however was nice if not a little crumbly.

29thOctober2013SchnouserEverythingPopmeal-CarluccioPastaampOreoCupcake.jpg

So I started the day with a visit to Be Our Guest. Croque Monsieur and Grey Stuff Cupcake were both very yummy!

30thOctober2013SchnouserBeOurGuestmeal-CroqueMonsieurampGreyStuffCucake3.jpg

Then for dinner I went to Mexico in EPCOT and had Empanadas and Curritos mmmm. Both were good but seriously the Empanadas were amazing and plenty for two or 3 people.

30thOctober2013SchnouserMexicomeal-EmpanadasampChurros.jpg

Also tried the Baked Ravioli from the Italy Food and Wine Stand

30thOctober2013SchnouserinEPCOTwithItalianbakedravioli.jpg

I also tried the sparkling wine from the Argentina Stand which was so nice and much nicer than the champagne (plus only $2.50)

30thOctober2013SchnouserwithArgentinaSparklingWineinEPCOT.jpg

Then I thought I'd try the Key Limen Wine from the Florida Local Stand which was the best drink I had the entire trip

30thOctober2013SchnouserinECOTwithKeyLimenWine.jpg

And I even popped to the Wine Cellar in Italy to enjoy a Bubbles Flight

30thOctober2013SchnouserinItalianWineCellarwithBubblesFlight.jpg

Today was a non-park day so instead I went and had lunch at Wolfgang Puck. This may have been the best meal of my trip. Macaroni Cheese & Creme Brulee were both lovely and I will definately be having this again!

31stOctober2013SchnouserWolfgangPuckExpressmeal-MacaroniCheeseCherryCokeampCremeBrulee.jpg

I also had a free $15 voucher for Planet Hollywood so I decided to stop there for some food. I had Buffallo Chicken Tenders and Key Lime Pie. Both were sub average to be honest and I wouldn't go rushing out to have them.

In the morning I had a special dining event booked - Kitchen Memories with Robert Irvine. This was the one meal Schnouser did not eat! I can honestly say the food was so amazing! It started with a beef pasta which tasted so good.

1stNovember2013EPCOTRobertIrvindeMealampPhotoSigning65.jpg

Then it was beef short ribs with polenta and brussel sprouts were really good too and melted in your mouth!

1stNovember2013EPCOTRobertIrvindeMealampPhotoSigning74.jpg

Dessert was a pannacota but I thought it could have done with being set a little more personally. It was more like a chocolate mousse

1stNovember2013EPCOTRobertIrvindeMealampPhotoSigning89.jpg

Then in the afternoon I tried the Spinach & Paneer Pocket from the Africa Food & Wine Kiosk which was really good but very dry - could have done with a sauce

1stNovember2013SchnouserwithSpinachampPaneerPocket.jpg

And I then tried the Devils Triangle Lager from Craft Beers stand which wasn't overly nice. It tasted a bit too biter for me

1stNovember2013SchnouserwithDevilsTriangleLager.jpg

Then I went to Norway and had the Beef sandwich & the Almond pretzel. The sandwich I personally found a bit bland and wouldn't have again. The Pretzel was amazing!

1stNovember2013SchnouserNorwayMeal-BeefSandwichampAlmondPretzel.jpg

I started the day with a trip to Animal Kingdom to Pizzafari. I just had the bounty platter and it was as any breakfast in Disney tends to be good but not amazing. The eggs were nice but the potatoes were a little undercooked. Still great biscuit and bacon.

2ndNovember2013SchnouserPizzafarimeal-BountyPlatterwithwafflesandnosausage.jpg

After I went to Art of Animation Resorts to try out Landscape of Flavours. This was the surprise of the holiday. I had Butter Chicken with Paneer & Spinach as well as Acorn Squash and Pilau rice. It tasted really good although not very spicy. I also loved the fact you got real knives and forks as well as proper plates! The cupcake was OK too although too much frosting for me.

2ndNovember2013SchnouserArtofAnimationmeal-ButterChickenSquashampSpinachPaneerAnimationCupcake2.jpg

Unfortunately my AM picture is missing as I lost some of my photos (had camera issues). Went to Be Our Guest and had Croque Monsieur again along with Raspberry Lemon Cream Puff. Again both were nice and I loved being in there.

In the afternoon I headed over to EPCOT and tried the Mushroom Filet from Canada Kiosk. It was really tasty and definately worth a snack credit.

3rdNovember2013SchnouserwithMushroomSteak.jpg

I also tried the Apple Pie cocktail from the Poland kiosk which was amazing. It really was like drinking a warm apple pie. I don't get how it could taste so good.

3rdNovember2013SchnouserwithApplePieCocktail.jpg

Then I went to France to get some food. I went for the Cheese Plate (which is available on the dining plan) and a pain au chocolat. Both were good and were easy to take with me so I could eat them back at the resort.

3rdNovember2013SchnouserFrenchmeal-CheeseampPainauChocoat.jpg

That's too bad about the beef sandwich in Norway. I like to stop there for a QS meal (love the option of a salad or fruit rather than fries for my side) but the first time I got the ham & apple sandwich and it was so good I've never been able to order anything else!

In the morning I headed to Hollywood Studios and tried Starring Rolls. I wanted to try the sushi and it was OK as Veggie sushi goes. The Cinnamon Roll was also just OK nothing amazing but a good meal.

4thNovember2013SchnouserStarringRollsmeal-SushiampCinnamonrolls.jpg

The Brown Derby Lounge had opened and so I headed over there and had a Margarita Flight.

4thNovember2013SchnouserwithMargaritaFlightinBrownDerbyLounge3.jpg

Originally I wasn't planning on having food but the Sliders looked and smelt so good that I just had to pay out of pocket and try them.

4thNovember2013SchnouserBrownDerbyLoungemeal-ChorizoampWaguBeefSlidersMargaritaFlight.jpg

Then I headed over to EPCOT and tried the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup. It was as yummy as ever and so tasty.

4thNovember2013SchnouserwithCheddarCheeseSoup.jpg

I also tried the Seasonal Shandy which was very tasty and the best beer I had

4thNovember2013SchnouserwithSeasonalShandy.jpg

Late on I went to Sunshine Seasons and had a cheese platter and Key Lime Tart. Neither were anything special.

4thNovember2013SchnouserSunshineSeasonsmeal-CheeseplateampKeyLimeTart.jpg

That's too bad about the beef sandwich in Norway. I like to stop there for a QS meal (love the option of a salad or fruit rather than fries for my side) but the first time I got the ham & apple sandwich and it was so good I've never been able to order anything else!

I think I should have gone with the ham to be honest! It did look nicer but I just thought I'd try it and see what its like.

In the morning I went to Yak & Yeti for brunch. I had Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls with rice along with Banana Bread Pudding. The chicken was lovely and really the portion was insane for one person. The Banana Bread Pudding however was vial! It was basically just pudding with a smushed up biscuit underneath.

5thNovember2013SchnouserYakampYetimeal-SweetampSourChickenampBananaBreadPudding2.jpg

After fun at the park I went to Rainforest Cafe and had a Coronarita which is my favourite drink and the only thing I ever order at RFC.

5thNovember2013SchnouserwithCoronaritainRainforestCafe.jpg

I then headed to EPCOT and had the Irish Cheese plate from the Ireland kiosk which was nice but could have done with a bit more of the chutney

5thNovember2013Schnouserwithcheeseplate.jpg

I also tried the Mango-Habanero Margarita from the Mexico Kiosk which was tasty but not as good as the Jalapeno Margarita in the Mexican bar.

5thNovember2013SchnouserwithMango-HabaneroMargarita.jpg

After all that I went to the Liberty Inn in the USA Pavillion for tea and had the Steak. For some reason in my head Chocolate Milk went well with Steak but I think I might have lost the plot on this one. Still the steak itself was OK and good value on the dining plan. The Apple Pie was lovely but needed some cream or custard.

5thNovember2013SchnouserLibertyInnMeal-SteakampApplePie.jpg

In the morning I had brunch at Columbia Harbour House. I went for the Hummus Sandwich which was really tasty. I am in love with their homemade chips! The Seasonal Cobbler was also really good although it was just apple which was a little disappointing.

6thNovember2013SchnouserColumbiaHarbourHousemeal-HummusSandwichampSeasonalCobbler.jpg

Later on I went to EPCOT and tried some more great food. The Spanakopita at the Greece Kiosk was really good (better than the ones Ive had in Greece actually as it wasn't as greasy).

6thNovember2013SchnouserwithSpanakopita.jpg

I also tried the Frozen Smores which was a snack credit but just consisted of chocolate milk with some marshmallows and a herseys cracker on top. Still it was nice and refreshing.

6thNovember2013SchnouserwithFrozenSmores.jpg

Then I had Black Raspberry Wine from the South Korea kiosk which was very tasty.

6thNovember2013SchnouserwithBlackRaspberryWine.jpg

I then decided it was a wine day and tried the Kabinet-reisling from the Germany kiosk.

6thNovember2013withKabinetWine.jpg

Finally I tried the Mushrooms on toast from the Poland kiosk. This was probably my surprise snack of the holiday as it actually tasted so good! It was cheesey and tomatoey and just so tasty!

6thNovember2013Schnouserwithmushroomsontoast.jpg

I then went to Katsura Grill for tea. I had the curry noodles which were mega tasty but very messy. I also had the Green Tea Cheesecake which was a little heavy and not the nicest thing to eat.

6thNovember2013SchnouserJapanmeal-CurryNoodlesampGreenTeaCheesecake.jpg

Today I started the day with a trip to Flame Tree BBQ. I wasn't really sure I liked ribs and I established I don't. I also wasn't fused on the Chicken that came with it as it was dry and overcooked. The Key Lime Mousse was also not great. This was probably the worst meal I had.

7thNovember2013SchnouserFlameTreeBBQmeal-RibampChickenplatterKeyLimeMousse.jpg

In the afternoon I went over to Coronado Springs. I've eaten in the Pepper Market before and loved it but they had changed how it works, You still get a card but you go up get a tray and get your own food and drink. It was a bit gutting really as previously it had been so nice. You didn't even have a proper knife and fork it was plastic. Still I had a chicken quesadilla which was nice.

7thNovember2013SchnouserPepperMarketmeal-ChickenQuesadillas.jpg

For dessert I had churros which I took with me to eat later. Also with the way the drinks now work (you order them at a station) you can actually have a drink with your meal then go get a refil on your mug to take with you.

7thNovember2013SchnouserPepperMarketmeal-Churros.jpg

As I was going to the park in the evening I went to Downtown Disney in the morning. I went to Wolfgang Puck and ordered the Breakfast Pizza. I can honestly say I've never had such a nice breakfast! Oh it was so good with loads of egg and bacon and cheese. I want one right now!

8thNovember2013SchnouserWolfgangPuckmeal-BreakfastPizza.jpg

In the evening I had dinner at Peco's Bills. The menu was different to the one I found on here and they had a chicken & steak combo on offer so I had that. I ordered it with sweet potato fries but when they brought it out it didn't have them so I then had to wait five mins for the fries. It meant the steak was cold as was the chicken. Still it tasted OK and was definately good value. The Carrot Cake was yummy and I also found out that you could have specialty drinks on the dining plan so got a nice Iced Vanilla Latte.

8thNovember2013PecosBillsmeal-SteakampChickenwithSweetPotatoFriesCarrotCake2.jpg

And of course as it was Mickeys I got cookies and hot chocolate

8thNovember2013SchnouserMickeysHalloweenCookieampChocolate2.jpg

I started off with Restuarantarus. I was a bit disappointed because the Veggie Sub has been replaced by a black bean burger so instead had the Macaroni Cheese Hot Dog. I also had the Cheesecake. Neither were amazing and the Cheesecake was very tasteless.

9thNovember2013Restaurantarusmeal-MacaroniHotDogampCheesecake.jpg

I then headed over to Hollywood Studios and had a Mowie Wowie in the Tune in Lounge which was tasty

9thNovember2013SchnouserinTuneinLoungeHollywoodStudios-MowieWowieCocktail.jpg

Although it looks like it was straight after, later I went to the Brown Derby Lounge and had the Champagne Flight. This was average really

9thNovember2013SchnouserinBrownDerbyLoungewithchampagneflight.jpg

Then I headed to Min & Bills to try the Bread cone. Oh my God this was seriously good food. It was basically a pretzel cone with bacon, chicken and avocado mayonaisse mix in it. It came with a bag of chips and a chocolate shake as a dessert. On the menu they had Iced coffee so I originally asked for that but they didn't actually do them. Instead I order normal coffee but the lovely CM insisted on giving me a giant cup of ice to make my own iced coffee.

9thNovember2013SchnouserMinampBillsMeal-Baconchickenampavocadobreadconeampchocolateshakewithicedcoffee3.jpg

My last full day I headed off to Be Our Guest and had French Onion Soup as a snack credit. It was good but I do think using a veggie stock rather than beef does mean it isn't as tasty as it should be!

10thNovember2013SchnouserBeOurGuestMeal-FrenchOnionSoup.jpg

I then went to Pinocchios Village House and tried the Caprese Flatbread. It tasted really good and was larger than I expected. I also had the mango gelato which was tasty but needed a long time to melt. As I'd found out speciality drinks could be ordered I ordered Pinnochios punch as my drink which was lemonade with a strawberry foam on top and was very nice. This was definately one that I would try again.

10thNovemberSchnouserPinnochiosVillageHausMeal-CapresePizzabreadPinocchioLemonadeampMangoGelato.jpg

The entire trip I had been trying to get a Starbucks in but everytime I went by the EPCOT or Magic Kingdom ones the queue was awful. Finally I got a good queue and managed to get a Venit Chai Tea Latte as a snack credit.

10thNovember2013SchnouserwithStarbucksVentiChaiTeafromFountainviewEPCOT.jpg

I then headed back and went to Art of Animation for dinner. I had the create your own pasta with alfredo sauce, garlic, peppers, mushrooms and cheese. It was lovely! I had a guava twist with it and this too was surprisingly tasty.

10thNovember2013SchnouserArtofAnimationmeal-CreateYourOwnPastaseashellwithfettucinesaucepeasmushroomsonionsgarlicamppeppersGuavaTwist.jpg

As it was my last day I went for the Bounty Breakfast at Everything Pop. It was OK and they let me substitute the potatoes and sausage for extra bacon!

11thNovember2013SchnouserEverythingPopmeal-Bountyplatterwithpancakesandnopotatoorsausage2.jpg

I went to Downtown Disney and used my last snack credits for some sweets to take home.

11thNovember2013Schnouserwithsnacks.jpg

I also went to Earl of Sandwich and got a chicken, bacon & avocado wrap along with some chips and a bottle of juice for the flight home. They were all average but a good use of credit if you have a long journey like I did.

11thNovember2013SchnouserEarlofSandwichmeal-Baconchickenampavocadowrapwithchipsjuice.jpg

Then I went for my last meal. I had chosen Wolfgang Puck as both meals I had there (Breakfast & Lunch) were just so nice that I wanted to try one more meal. I went for the Chicken Alfredo pasta. It was really creamy and tasty. I wasn't fused on the chicken but the pasta and sauce were so good. I choose the Brownie this time for dessert just as it was packed and could be carried home but it was good enough.

11thNovember2013SchnouserWolfgangPuckmeal-ChickenAlfredoBrownieCherrycoke.jpg

And then I had my final drink at the Petals Poolbar. It was a Skinny Coconut Mojito and it was so good. I wish Id tried it earlier in the holiday as it was so nice!

11thNovember2013SchnouserwithSkinnyCoconutMojitoatPetalsPoolBar.jpg
