It's sad to say but today's culture allows for people to act like they do and I feel social media can be one of the driving forces. I think since people feel its OK to act like a (insert whatever you would like here) on social media, then they can do it in real life. I get people can be hot, tired, cranky, or whatever but it doesn't give you the right to be a jerk to someone else.
I had a teen hit me in the back of the leg with a wheelchair in AK after I dodged multiple oncoming strollers. I was just like, Really???? and turned around. I saw him pushing his gf who had a broken leg and the first words out of his mouth were, I am sorry sir. My reply back was, it's cool and then asked if his gf was OK. You could see she was embarrassed and to try and make light of the situation, I said hopefully his wheelchair driving abilities isn't what got you there in the first place
. I wished her a speedy recovery and off they went. Accidents happen, if you take responsibility and apologize people are usually receptive.
But then there are those who feel entitled to act like complete jerks because they can and if you don't like it, tough. Those are the ones that hope is lost on. You can't help but think what are they like in daily life and how can people stand to be around them.
