My Sister Has Passed

I stopped coming on the DIS for a while, and this is my story.

There was alot of commotion going on in family and such, my sister had cancer. We were hoping that treatment for the cancer would be enough, but, sadly we had to put her on life support which about a week ago we took her off of because that was her wish. Soon after that she passed away. I have come back to the DIS because I know how kind and caring people are on here, and I've gotten over my sisters death, I just want to live my life now. My sister was only 13 years old, and she had her whole life to live, so I'm going to live mine just as she would live hers, trying to get fun out of every situation.

Though I'm not much to cry, I think everyone needs comfort when someone they love has passed away.

I really needed the reassurance.
It was hard to cope with it, and it happened about 2 weeks ago.
I still can't get over the fact she's not around to bug me.

My sympathies to you and your family. Hang in there..we never forget and our loved ones always stay in our hearts. Sometimes it helps to talk to a trusted counselor or therapist. My girls were teens when they lost their dad and it helped them to talk it out. Don't be afraid to speak up and let your family know if you need this kind of support. Big hugs to you...
