My Siamese kitty named Lumpy (aka Heffalump) ran out today and before I realized he was gone. I have been searching all afternoon. Please say a prayer he comes back. He is my DH's baby and I really don't want to tell him while he is in Iraq that his kitty is gone:sad1:

******UPDATE******

I'm lying in bed this morning & I hear his lil cry at the window! He is home & safe and HUNGRY! But otherwise not a scratch on him. He ate 1.5 cans of cat food and a bunch of dry food. Now he is taking a bath and probably going to nap! I'm SO happy! I can't wait to tell DH! Thank you for your prayers & pixie dust, I would have been heartbroken!

Oh No!!! I am crossing my fingers that you find him!

I actually have nightmares sometimes about my kitties getting out- It scares the heck out of me.

:tink:

I'm so sorry he got out.

That happened to me back in the late 80's in Las Vegas. My cat Shadow got out and I searched for her for several days. Finally after days of calling the shelters I found one across town that had a cat that fit her description and was picked up on my street. It was her and she sat on my lap the entire drive home. Turns out that someone on my street had called the pound. She was an indoor cat and had never been out before. Some people are mean, but at least she didn't get hit by a car. Maybe that was why she did it.

Also - I hope your DH comes home soon. My DH was over there at the begining of the war. It was the worst time of my whole life. Hang in there, and I hope he gets home soon.

Thank you for your kind words. He will be home late this summer. I can't wait. I am really dreading a phone call from him tonite & having to tell him his baby kitty is missing. He will know the second he calls me somethings wrong :(

Grrrr...

Ohhh dear. We have 2 siamese, and I don't even want to imagine how horrible that would feel. Prayers and pixie dust that he returns home safely. :grouphug:

Can you keep the door part way open for him to return? Put a dish of his food outside and go out and call for him as much as possible.

If you have something that he loves (like a blanket) put it outside to catch his nose.

Has he ever gotten out before?

I hope you find him soon.

Sending :wizard: in hopes that Lumpy comes home soon.

 hope he comes back home soon! A few years back, my cat got out too, at New Year's at that, and I think the firecrackers scared him. He did not come back home for 2 weeks!!! I was absolutely devestated! I searched everywhere for him. Then one morning, while I was still in bed, I heard meowing by my bedroom window!! I bolted out of bed and there he was...sitting by the sliding glass door! He slept for 2 days straight!

I have two siamese and know that is my worst fear. I will say a prayer and send PD your way and hope your furbaby comes home soon. Please keep us updated.

I have a Siamese and I'd be EXTREMELY upset if he got out; he's always been an indoor cat, and he's our entire family's "baby", so I understand what you're saying. I really hope Lumpy comes home soon!!

I have 2 Siamese brats, I mean cats. One tries to run out and has escaped a couple of times but we saw her run and have caught up with her (she's a wimp and gets scared).

I had one a long time ago that ran away for a week. I went out on the porch and there she was, yelling at me to come in. Many cats do find their way home. Keep in contact with the local humane society or pound and contact all animal rescue groups in your area. Also post flyers, contact vets offices, and put an ad in the paper, cover all bases.

Please let us know if your furbaby comes home.

I sure hope your little Lumpy comes home safe and sound, soon.

Oh Katie, I know that this is upsetting and hope your kitty comes home soon. No doubt that it's doubly stressful with your sweetie gone. I hope you find your fur baby soon and just think a few months left and the other "baby" will be home:cool1:

He's home! I updated my 1st post!

You must be so relieved. Give him an extra cuddle from all of us here. I know I would have been frantic if any of my furbabies got out.

Hugs
