I am about to have kittens ! We are planning our first cruise - JUNE - on the Wonder...okay, so what...

we decided to forego the Passports and just use our Birth Cert. we are a family of four and everyone had the correct type of BC except for DH. He just went this a.m. and got one so now we are all set.... :thumbsup2

OK. Can anyone tell me where I put the other three BC :confused3 ... I had them in my desk for three months....now they are not in the place I have kept them. OK, who can I blame. For goodness' sake I didn't misplace them afterall.....Did I move them? Where woudl I put them? Holy cow this is driving me absolutley insane.

I knew when I turned 40 that it was all down hill....but geez lately its been quite a steep slope.

whew. Thanks for letting me rant and rave...but of course, it hasn't helped me solve my problem....WHERE ARE THOSE STUPID BIRTH CERTIFICATES?

If you happen to see them anywhere lying around on the boards..please someone put them back in my desk....THANKS

:grouphug:

We're headed on a cruise at the end of April and I got my passport updated with my married name (only been married 7 years :rotfl2: ). I also got the kids passports. I figured the kids' are good for 5 years and I'd rather get them now and have them for later then get stuck in the backlog that's bound to occur late 2007/ early 2008. This way, we'll have them on hand if I find a good price on a last-minute vacation. :thumbsup2

Good Luck finding your passports and enjoy your cruise!

They will turn up. Just stop looking for them. I have found that is what works for me.

just in case anyone was interested...I did find the little buggers. :cool1:

And, imagine my surprise when I found them under a pile of papers on my DH desk in a file tray for JUNK. He has never had the BC in his possession before so now why would he have them on his desk all of a sudden. Hmmmmm, makes me wonder if my short term memory isn't the problem.....

anyway, all is well .... guess I got worked up for nothin'.

OK, I'm really confused by this thread... I was under the impression that everyone has to have a passport now. :confused3

Glad you found them!

Ethan's mom inspired me to check our passports for the expiration date, and yikes, they expire this May!

Does anyone happen to know the easiest way to renew them?

from the DCL website...

New Passport Regulations from the U.S. Government
Proposed federal regulations would require all cruise travelers to the Caribbean (including The Bahamas) and Mexico to have valid passports when entering or returning to the United States on or after December 31, 2006. Therefore, guests who are booked on sailings on or after December 28, 2006 need to obtain a passport for each member of their family and provide us with the passport number at least 75 days prior to vacation commencement.

We opted not to get our passports this time. We are cruising in June 2006. if we decide to book another cruise then we will HAVE to have PP.
