Hello...we will be going back for our third trip to Disney with our 2 kids- DS 5 and DD will be 3. We are very excited  Tell me what you think of our itinerary so far...

Also...for Thurday...we have an ADR for CRT at 8:10AM- which is during an EMH at MK. We have done breakfast here one other time and it was magical for my son especially. DD was a bit too young last year to appreciate it. Anyway...my son tends to be scared of most of the characters but not the ones who look like people- ie the princesses. So should we

1. Do CRT again...I'm thinking we should take advantage of this early time as we could probably get in and out and still have plenty of time for rides before it gets too crowded. Then have only a half day at MGM and dinner at 50's Prime Time

2. Skip CRT and just to the EMH at MK and then do dinner at 50's Prime Time- still haven't made it here! After 5 visits :headache:

3. Do H&V character breakfast- half most of day in MGM- as this is our only day to fit this park in- and DTD for dinner- Wolfegang Puck Cafe

Okay if I haven't totally confused you enough yet here is our itinerary so far...

Monday 17th...Arrive around 1PM- lunch at resort (staying at Pop Century for first time yay! very excited about this as I think the kids will LOVE it! )
6:20 Dinner at CP in MK

Sun. 23rd Last day at MK...Tom Sawyer Island for first time- never been here either...very excited
Lunch at CS -Cosmic Rays or Peco's Bill maybe
Not sure how to end this vacation on our last night...any suggestions??

Monday- on a plane back home to NJ :((( Very sad day lol

Okay I know you guys always have great ideas and experience so I will take any suggestions you might have! I know I am obsessed and put way too much thought into this trip but there's nothing worse than kicking yourself when you get home wishing you had done something and didn't!

thanks for all of your wonderful help!

Danielle

The last time my family and I ate at Donald's, we found it just so-so. The place was really dark and the food was just mediocre at best. Will Tusker House's new character buffet be open when you go? I'd try that one if it's available. If you're trying to do a character meal and you want to be at AK early, then right now Donald's is the only choice. If you're just looking for food, you can try Boma for breakfast at the AKL. I heard it's amazing!

I would do your option #2 for your ? day and skip CRT! On your last day, I would do lunch at Cosmic Ray's, Pesco Bill's is not my favorite! Desert is terrible! If your in the park have dinner at LTT, it's a character meal and is very very good! Great atmosphere. Or if your want dinner out of the park, I would try Trails End in Fort Wilderness, a boat ride from MK. It's very good!

Just a few opinions---

Go with #1, your kids are young, and you probably won't need more that 1/2 day at MGM, unless the adults are riding all the big rides. We had an 8:30 ADR at Crt in Oct., the park was still empty when we came out and we buzzed through the fantasyland rides.

One comment about your Mon. With that late of a CP ADR, you probably won't get a very good spot for Spectro. In the Fall, Spectro is usually only a couple times a week, therefore EVERYONE goes on the Spectro nights. We usually line up around an hour prior for good seats.

Good luck, Sounds like you will have fun!!!!

Check the dates on your itinerary...you have Thursday and Friday both as the 20th. Not sure if this messes up your stuff or if it is just a typo.

thanks for the great info. Never thought about eating in AKL but it does get rave reviews so i think we will give it a try. I checked out the menu it does sound amazing! My daughter is big fruit fan and i think shed be in heaven from the fruit selection alone.

I am still up in the air about the CRT ressie- only because it is two TS and we did do it last year. But I think we definitely will do MK on the EMH morning as last year Mickey actually played ball with my kids not too far from Dumbo. We walked out of the castle after checking in for our ADR for breakfast and there he was just throwing the ball and having a blast with a small group of kids- my son was 4 at the time and he was the oldest one- or at least the biggest lol. And man were they in awe!!! It was probably the best moment of the whole trip. This was not an EMH morning our ADR was for 9:20 and we did not get seated right away so I guess it was around 9:30 or so. Very magical...I heard people in the crowd saying this was very unheard of...so happy I've got pics to prove it :rotfl:

I guess I'm trying to recreate that morning but you can't blame me for trying. Does anyone know what time Toon Town opens? Is it still 10 o'clock...or how about Ariel's grotto- is she there in September I don't recall seeing her last year.

thanks again you guys are the best! Oh ps I fixed the typo- sorry the later it gets the worse my typing seems to get.

thanks again,

Daniele

You can probably do MGM in half a day, but you might want to see Fantasmic at night if you can because it's a very nice show. I like Prime Time Cafe for the whole interaction, the food isn't bad either.

I don't know if there are any Fantasmic dinner packages left, but you might want to do that also, which would probably be an earlier dinner time if anything is available.

Maybe you could try the BBB for the son and daughter in the morning and then head to MGM afterward. Make a morning of DTD, do a little shopping, they can send your purchases back to your resort if I remember correctly.

That's just my suggestion. :) The other would be if the kids like the playhouse disney characters, then maybe do that for lunch time. (before 2 pm since the parade starts at 3:30 I think...?)

I would vote for option #3. You already have your last day at MK & are also going to MNSSHP (we'll be there on that date as well!). My kids are around the same as yours & they can not wait till we go to breakfast at H&V in September (love little einsteins & JoJo!). You could still go for EMH at MK, have a late breakfast at H&V, enjoy MGM & then go do some shopping at DTD. Either way, Wolfgang Pucks is a very good restaurant.
Have fun!!

That's a difficult choice. We did CRT for lunch last trip. It was a great experience, especially for me youngest DD (almost 6 at the time). We surprised her with her Snow White outfit in the Royal Changing Room (aka bathroom). It was quite memorable. Since your DD is 3, and if your are going back in a couple of years, I would skip CRT this visit and just do the EMH. You can find the princesses in the Princess Tent in Toon Town (even Cindy). Now that frees up 2 TS credits. I might suggest Boma, Biegarten, and Ohana.
