Well, I passed by SCUBA diving open water certification last Saturday. It was a nice day and I only saw one small fish.

Actually, I only posted this because now I am beginning to understand editing using layers. It's not a good pic by any standard, but it is my first using layers!!! I am the one looking up at the camera.

Congratulations! Now you just need to start taking pictures underwater...

Congratulations! There is nothing better than diving, unless it's underwater photography.

BTW: If you're ever in Seattle, let's go diving. I'm a PADI instructor and always love finding new people to dive with.

Thanks!!! It was a great course with wonderful divemasters. I would love to do underwater photography, unfortunately, the only waters to dive near me are quarreys. But you can bet that the next trip I take that is somewhere warm and tropical, I will be diving:woohoo: !

And yes, if I ever make it to Seattle, I will look you up!!!

Big Island Divers, Kailua-Kona, HI

They will take you on great boat dives and the staff is really fun. (Yes, I used to work there, so this is a shameless plug)

Congrats, and that's not bad at all for your first Photoshop. :)

It reminds me of one I did a couple years ago... a friend of mine gave away a few 256m SD cards (back when those were still a decent size!) and I compared it to a feeding frenzy:

It won't win any awards, but I thought it was kind of funny at the time. :teeth: It was actually done with an older version of Corel Photo-Paint, as it was the only thing I had on hand at the moment (I wasn't at home at the time.)

I've never been SCUBAing but I did go snorkeling in San Salvador Island in the Bahamas. That was pretty cool until I accidentally broke my mask half-way through the trip. :(

Cool pic!!! I have sooo much to learn about PSE5 that it isn't even funny. I am doing most of my learning from free tutorials on the internet.

I showed DD15 my SCUBA pic and she was like:scared1: . She didn't know it wasn't real at first. She is sooo gullable:lmao: .

Congrats on your certification!! A great accomplishment!! Your photoshop work is good too!

I too, am an OW instructor, in fact that's what I did all weekend......

Being underwater is amazing and capturing the magical world with a camera is a very consuming hobby!! You'll LOVE it!!

Try Florida's many great dive spots. Key Largo and Islamorda are wonderful dive destinations that offer a great diversity in underwater life.

Congratulations on both accounts, Sharon, the certification and the cool picture. Someday I really have to start digging into my PSE5 to see what is there.
