My day was Productive Personified!
I have one of the bedrooms in our house that used to be my 'paint room' or paint office as my son calls it. I do tole painting but not for a while now and the room was set up mostly with paint things. Over the past two years I've tried to fit the scrap stuff in and had a decent setup near the work table but otherwise the room was mishmash. Plus since we moved in 3 1/2 years ago I never got into the closet in there (tubs in front of it etc etc etc).
The room had become the crap room as well as it's always closed so things find their way in there.
So I get up today and sit down to work on swaps and I decide at that moment I can't take it anymore and I'll just get the tubs away to get into the closet. Five hours later there were 15 bags of garbage, 2 bags of clothes for goodwill, a closet that has the paint items now neatly boxed up (with nothing blocking the door) and half of the shelving units (I have about 5 of those 5 shelf plastic 5 foot high ones) organized.
Went to DS's baseball game and picked up two of those cheap shelf things from lowe's and came right home and put them together and completely reorganized my setup so now I have everything I use regularly all together and the rest neatly on the shelves!!!
Except for the very tall paper rack collapsing and having to get DH to fix it (I put the shelves together myself at least!) I am so amazed at how much I got done and how smoothly it went and how great that room is now! It's not quite complete as there are some shelves to go through and one corner pile of tubs but 90% done and my workspace area is perfect!
The work table and area....I had to crop out pics of the kid - I'm neurotic that way.
the table itself - not new just organized now:
My scrapbooks - their current location - note the busting out of the seams one I just finished from last April's Disney trip....
One of the organized shelves....those dogs have been gone for years....but I love the picture. Have two different dogs now...
Didn't take pics of the unorganized ones I didn't get to yet!
I am so proud of myself so I had to share. Those of you posting pics of lovely spaces inspired me I must say!
I must have worked harder than I thought cause I ache all over too!
