If you booked through Disney, then I assume your only choice was a "standard room". At Hojo, I believe those would be a king room in building 1, freeway side, a two queens room in building 1 freeway side, or a 2 double beds room in buildings 3, 4, 5 or 6. Building 1 is the tallest of the buildings with 7 floors. They have added some soundproofing to the freeway side of floors 1-6 which does help a lot, but don't expect not to hear any freeway noise. I am a light sleeper and do ok in those rooms. The 7th floor has skylights and no additional soundproofing. I have not tried one of those rooms. Building 1 also houses the gift shop/convenience store, game room, and a laundry room. Buildings 3-6 are two story buildings with no elevators. The second floor has skylights in the rooms.
Other room categories that Hojo has include a two queens deluxe, located in building 2 which is the furthest away building but the quietest, a king deluxe also in building 2, the two queens premium view on the non-freeway side of building one, the queen/bunkbed room you referenced, and some suites. I would think any of these rooms would be an upgrade and you would need to contact Hojo directly, local number for the hotel, not the national 1-800 number, to ask what your options are for upgrading a room bought in a Disney package.
Thank you very much! I will call Hojo directly to ask about upgrades.
