I've been to WDW quite a few times, however, I'm some of the restaurants on our list this time I haven't been to. I'm wondering if, realistically, I will need a PS to get into any of these. We'll be on a fairly flexible schedule. We're going September 12 (Sun) until September 18th. I know some of them I won't, but I'm just pasting my entire list here. Also, any other opinions about or list are absolutely appreciated.

Thanks,
Josh

1) Boma (AKL)
2) Tempura Kiku (WS)
3) Trails End (FW)
4) Tusker House (AK)
5) Mama Melrose (MGM)
6) Nine Dragons (WS)
7) Rose and Crown (WS)
8) El Pirata y el Perico? Pecos Bills? (MK)
9) Plaza Restaurant (MK)
10) California Grill (CR)
11) Fresh (Dolphin)
12) Bluezoo (Dolphin)
13) Kona Café (PR)
14) Whispering Canyon (WL)
15) Bongo’s (DTD)
16) Earl of Sandwich (DTD)
17) Wolfgang Puck Café (DTD)

I haven't been to some of the resaurants on your list, but based on size and/or popularity I would get a PS for:

Boma
Plaza Restaurant
California Grill
Blue Zoo

All of your choices sound fantastic. I can't wait to hear how it was!

Here's my 2 cents...4) Tusker House (AK) -- Very good
5) Mama Melrose (MGM) -- Never dined here, but love the 50's Primetime Cafe
6) Nine Dragons (WS) -- What about Le Cellier? Food is great there.
7) Rose and Crown (WS) -- Favorite place to dine at EPCOT.
9) Plaza Restaurant (MK) -- Was disappointed with the Plaza. Would recommend Cindy's or the Crystal Palace instead
10) California Grill (CR) -- Best meal I've ever had on WDW property!!!
11) Fresh (Dolphin) -- Not bad
13) Kona Café (PR) -- Was really disappointed with this place on my last trip. Would recommend O'Hana's instead.
14) Whispering Canyon (WL) -- dined here for the first time on my last trip and thought it was very good
15) Bongo’s (DTD) -- What about the House of Blues? It's a great place to dine and the food is very good.

I would make a general plan... which park will you be going to on which day. And then make an "eating plan". I don't think you will need PSs at most of those but aleast you will be able to loosely plan your days.

Trail's End - they do not take PS and I don't think you will need to worry at lines in Sept. You may want to plan this meal on a day you will be at MK - short boat ride away. Also you may want to head to the Campfire Singalong/Movie after dinner. It is a lot of fun and something differen to do.

Rose & Crown - if you plan ahead and make PS you may get a great table to watch Illuminations at.

Happy eating:D

I am guessing this list is for all meals ( or you are planning on being "really" hungry at dinner!) so we waited over an hr for Kona breakfast ( no Ps) in dead Jan....food was fine but not great, same with service, doubt we'd hurry back but maybe the other meals are better

1) Boma (AKL)- Interesting, good, worth trying, just not a personal favorite. Get PS
2) Tempura Kiku (WS)- LOVE LOVE LOVE, Get PS
5) Mama Melrose (MGM) - Have had good and bad experiences, more bad than good. It's average italian
6) Nine Dragons (WS) - It's average Chinese Food.
7) Rose and Crown (WS) - This and the CG are my favorite. I LOVE THE FOOD HERE!!!!!! THE VIEW IS AWESOME and the Prime Rib, my husband still talks about. (And he knows Prime Rib)
8) El Pirata y el Perico? Pecos Bills? (MK)MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE COUNTER SERVICE, Nice people, tucked away and shaded and excelent food. (Harbour House is my second choice)
9) Plaza Restaurant (MK) - Good for Lunch. The sandwiches are like a deli.
10) California Grill (CR) - EVERYTHING YOU HAVE HEARD and more..
11) Fresh (Dolphin) - HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!, stayed here in March, and eating at "Fresh" was my only bad experience!!
12) Bluezoo (Dolphin) - Haven't tried.
13) Kona Café (PR) - Alright, average disney.
14) Whispering Canyon (WL)- Haven't tried.
15) Bongo’s (DTD) - To spicy for my Irish tongue
16) Earl of Sandwich (DTD) - Haven't tried.
17) Wolfgang Puck Café (DTD)- If you love Wolfgang Puck, you'll love it. We eat here at least 2x's everytime. If you go to the sidewalk cafe GET THE MACARONI and CHEESE.. you will not regret it.

Here's my two cents........

1) Boma (AKL) - Never tried but want to!
2) Tempura Kiku (WS) - Haven't tried
3) Trails End (FW) - My family loves this place but I normally sit it out (no particular reason)
4) Tusker House (AK) - Liked this one. Especially for AK
5) Mama Melrose (MGM) - Haven't tried
6) Nine Dragons (WS) - Haven't ate there but love Restaurant Marrakesh at Morrocco
7) Rose and Crown (WS) - Haven't tried
8) El Pirata y el Perico? Pecos Bills? (MK) - I prefer Pecos Bills. My dad's favorite counter service at WDW.
9) Plaza Restaurant (MK) - Didn't like at all
10) California Grill (CR) - A MUST
11) Fresh (Dolphin) - Haven't tried
12) Bluezoo (Dolphin) - Haven't tried
13) Kona Café (PR) - One of my faves. The food is wonderful and I've had excellent servers. Plus the coffee is phenomenal.
14) Whispering Canyon (WL) - Haven't tried
15) Bongo’s (DTD) - Ate here on my last trip. The food was good but the service was not great.
16) Earl of Sandwich (DTD) - Haven't tried.
17) Wolfgang Puck Café (DTD) - Haven't tried.

how can you eat at 17 restaurants in six days? that's a whole lotta eating! i think you need to pare down your list...

we will be at wdw for eight days and have made ps for:

crt - breakfast
boma - dinner
hollywood & vine - fantasmic dinner
mickey's backyard bbq - dinner show

and plan to eat at (w/out ps):

biergarten - lunch or dinner
nine dragons - lunch or dinner
'ohana - dinner

and i think six "real" meals in eight days is enough... although i'm sure we'll pop in somewhere else to enjoy a spur of the moment meal or two...

plan on waiting..according to their manager they are booked up every night, peak or off peak and often turn people away.

actually, what we will probably do, which worked well for us on our other trips, is when we decide what our agenda will look like for a day, usually in the morning, we then call and get a ps for the evening... so, while we don't do it before we travel, we do call a few hours before we want to eat...

although, for me, waiting at the poly would not be a problem... i love walking around that hotel... plus, we could use the time to take a monorail ride, or stroll the beach, etc...

Ooohhh! Lots of good choices. And you're so thin, dang you! We will be there around the same time, and I have only made two Ps's:

Breakfast at 'Ohana to see Mickey, and
Narcoossee's for DH's birthday dinner.

We are doing mostly counter service the rest of the time. My only worry is Beaches & Cream on Saturday afternoon, but I plan on landing there around 2 or 2:30 so feel we can eat without a long wait.

From your list, I'd feel better about having PS for:
Cali Grill
Rose and Crown

Just to let people know that I haven't abandoned this post. I'm just stepping back and observing people's comments. I appreciate all of them.
