I sure hope so!! I just accepted an offer on a smaller contract I own. It was just sent to Disney for the ROFR process. I would love for my sale to close as quickly as yours did!! :thumbsup2

Mine went thru pretty fast, about 30 days.

Congrats to you, OP. :thumbsup2

Just wondering if you were already an SSR owner (based on your sig) -- have heard that can make it go faster?

Just sign me SSR-WF/ROFR!

I just bought a resale and am already an owner and it took about 5 weeks. I don't think being an owner already makes it go faster, a lot depends on when the seller sends the signed paperwork back and how fast Disney reviews it for ROFR. The contract I bought was sent to Dsiney on 1/5 but ROFR wasn't waived until 1/21 that is what took the longest.

Ours went fast except for the closing date. We rented points to use about 6 weeks after our offer. We had to wait for that date to pass to close. We are very happy with our resale purchase and our experience with TTS.

What resort did you just buy into?
I think it's a supply and demand issue, ROFR will come back quicker for something Disney can't sell as well, SSR is for sale all over the place.

Disney may have people on the list waiting for resorts that are more difficult to find on the market.

Wilderness lodge.

Probably more in demand than SSR, so they took their time, and hung onto it a bit, hoping to make a sale.

No, that wasn't the reason, all the resales submitted around that time took the same time not just VWL.

Rob we were about the same, made offer & sent deposit 10/1,passed ROFR 12 days later & closed before the end of Jan.Just waiting for our Membership cards/No. from Disney. SD:thumbsup2

For those of you that recently closed on your resale purchases....how long did it take from the time you closed until the time that you were in the system and could get your member number and make reservations?

We closed on January 12. We got our cards in the mail maybe last week or 2 weeks ago. As far as we know, we cannot access the computer. We need to call and check, but aren't ready to book any points yet.
