My reception site double booked me!!!!

I knew I could come here and talk with people who understood. I just got a call on Monday that my reception site is double booked.... I only have FIVE months to go!!! Ugh. They have some lame excuse. But we have a contract with them so they better make this good for me.

Luckily we found another place but we had to book it without knowing what it looked like or what the food prices were!! All the other places are booked, so we have no choice. Changing the date is out of the question because we have everything else all set and people traveling here to NY from Georgia.

I was just shocked to hear that so close to the wedding.

I am not having a DFTW, just a Disney Honeymoon. I am sure if I had a DFTW that DIsney would be great about it. They probably wouldn't do something like that so clase to the big day.

What is wrong with people - you'd think when dealing with brides and a VERY important date they would try and make sure that they had all their i's dotted and t's crossed. I'm so sorry Jennifer I do hope that you got some compensation too. Remember it's still going to be an amazing day and an amazing wedding
