Hi I am new to these broads and I have noticed several trip reports so I have decided to do one myself of my trip on 15december -19th December 2005
On the 15th of December we got up at 6.00am to get our taxi to Manchester airport which is only a 10 minute drive away. When we arrived check in was open with no wait so we were able to check our bags in straight away.
The Journey was fairly easy and relaxed.
We arrived at the New York Hotel at about 12.00pm and were told that our room was already ready for us!! So we took our bags to the room and than headed to Disney village to have a meal at planet Hollywood at about 1pm. As usual we found the food and service fantastic. Its one of our favourite restaurants.
We spent a couple of hours at plant Hollywood before heading to the Disneyland park!!
We spent some time on the main street looking in the shops when we realised that the Christmas parade was starting soon, the crowds were relatively thin so we got a good location and my 3 year old daughter managed to see everything perfectly.
After the parade we walked around discovery land and got on the train. We rode the train around to fantasy land.
At fantasy land I took my daughter on her favourite ride dumbo!!!, which she loved.
After riding dumbo we went back to the NY hotel at about 5.30pm, we than watched a film on the disney channel and enjoyed the minnibar!!!
Day 2
We got up at about 8am an were at breakfast at about 9.30am. We had a lovely filling breakfast before headed to the character meet and greet. My daughter had her picture taken with goofy , we than went to get our coats before heading to fantasy land.
At fantasy land we went on the coursel, dumbo and it a small world. We then got the train to main street at about 12.pm and went to the disney village for lunch at café mickey to have a break and warm up a bit as it was wet and cold.. We managed to get a table without having to book and we all had a lovely meal. My daughter ate all her food as I told her that mickey cooked it for her!!!
I manage to take some lovely pictures of my daughter and Minnie mouse. She put the paper glasses that they give to children on Minnie which was very cute and when my daughter put them on herself the wrong way round Minnie put them the right way round for her.
My daughter also found it very funny when prince john whipped her Daddy with his scarf and snatched his menu away from him.
They was also a great comic moment for the children when goofy stole captain hooks sword and captain hook chased him round the restaurant.
After such a lovely meal we then headed to winter wonder land show which was great fun, (apart from an over excited man behind us who made such a lot of noise)
After the show we headed back to the hotel and watched a film and we enjoyed the Minnie bar again!!.
Day 3
We got up at about the same time again and had a lovely filling breakfast and headed to fantasyland again!! This time we went on snow white, Pinocchio, Peter pan using our hotel fast past( very useful as notice fast past were running out very quickly) the mad hatter teacups as the queues were very long this took up most of the day.
We than went to planet Hollywood and luckily got a table as it was also very busy. Had another great meal here before heading to the hotel. We than went to the hotel bar and had a few drinks, the CM here were all very friendly and joked with my daughter.
We than went back to the room.
Day four
After breakfast we went to the studios and straight to animagique another of my daughters favourites, we were first in so got fantastic seats.
After the show we went on the flying carpet ride and they was no wait. Good fun for my daughter.
We than went to the TV studio tour which we found father dull especially my daughter.
After the tour we watched goofy and some sing Santas perform which was good fun.
We than decided to leave the studios and made a dinner reservation for café mickey. We had to wait 2 hours for our table so looked around the shops in the village and then went to the hotel bar for a drink as it was very near to café mickey.
Café mickey was very busy however the characters were brilliant at keeping all the children happy, If the children ran up to them for autographs they gestured to them that they we working there way around d the restaurant and will sign their book when they get to the table. My daughter got to dance with goofy which was lovely for her.
After our meal we went to the hotel and my daughter played with her new plush toys we brought earlier in the day while we watched a film. We than went to the park side diner in the hotel for a light meal. after we left the restaurant Pluto was in hotel lobby dancing to Dancin(a catchy rhythm) The children were invited to sit on the floor to watch and my daughter joined them and clapped her hands all the way through which was lovely to see as sometimes she can be a bit shy to join in.
Day 5 (last day)
We got up and as usually had breakfast at the hotel, we than checked are luggage at the hotel luggage desk. I than booked a table a walts before heading to the Disneyland park.
Again we went to fantasyland again and rode snow white Peter pan and Casey jnr and we went in the maze. Me and my daughter met the beast at belles Christmas village and had our photo taken with him. We watched belle Christmas medley however we did not get good spots so we could o only see bits of it. My daughter saw it all as she was sat on her daddys shoulders.
We than went to walts and got the most amazing table by the window. We could watch the snow fall from out side . The meal was fantastic and very relaxed atmosphere just want we needed after the crowds at fantasy land.
After the meal we went to some shops and I brought a few Christmas things and we than headed to adventure land to go on POTC the wait was no to bad and we enjoyed the ride.
After the ride my we decided to watch the parade before it was time to leave the park for the last time of the trip.
We got a good spot even though the crowds were very busy and my daughter loved it as much as the first time she saw it. (even though she says the father Christmas is not real one-says the real ones at Lapland)
Went to the hotel and had a drink in the bar.
At 5.25pm we are on the bus to CDG and by 10pm we are back at Manchester.
We had a great time even though it was very busy a lot of the time with huge crowds. We did not get to see the night parade as my daughter got very tried and very grumpy by 6pm and would lose her temper of the slightest thing so we usually had to head back by 5pm.
Luckily we had been in September so had done most of the attraction then and even went to Paris for the day as it was very quite during that trip.
