My POR and GF stay, I'm engaged

Thanks guys!!! I do have a keeper and I feel so lucky. I just lived one of my dreams and am soo happy everytime I think about it.

Jillpie: Well this is what he told me. He called the California Grill ahead of time to let them know and see what they would do. He spoke with a manager and they said to ask for him when we arrived. So when we got there he sent me out to the observation deck to look around and I did. This is when he chatted with the manager a second time about what he was going to do. He told him that they could bring my ring out in a glass slipper but he didn't have them do it. He was afraid to let it go (it is soo beautiful) to anyone and would have been way to nervous and I would have caught on... Anyway the manager also had him meet with our waiter to clue him in and then my boyfriend came and got me from the observation deck and we were shown to our table, one of the best in the place, direct view of Cindy's castle, it was soo wonderful. He ordered Fairy Tale Cuvee and we ordered our appetizer's and our dinners. The waiter was great and timed everything just right. I guess when I excused myself to the restroom my fiance gave our camera to the waiter to take pictures. I returned and our meal was there and we ate, my fiance ate really fast but there really isn't much unusual about that. Then the lights dimmed and it was time for the fireworks wishes, I still hadn't finished my food but it had to wait hehe! I was facing the castle so my fiance had to move his chair towards mine for the fireworks. As he got up to move his chair I saw him reach in his pocket and I was like oh my god!! Yes I said that out loud. I didn't know what to do and looked out the window for a second... Next thing I knew his was on his knee with the ring asking if I will marry him.. I giggled the whole time but did manage to say yes!! I felt kind of bad but I guess I was really nervous. Now the waiter got some great pictures and we did get a few congratulations but if you have ever been to Calli Grill and know where we were sitting there were only a few tables near us and some people were just paying more attention to the fireworks getting ready to start. I was kind of glad because I get nervous and I am kinda shy sometimes. We then had desert and they put a chocolate note that they use for special occasions that said congratulations from the California Grill.... We finished up and went on the observation deck for a moment just to take it all in and I cryed at little and thanked him sooo much and he got a little teary eyed himself!! It was so sweet and one of the best moments in my life. We then went back to the GF and watched the castle change colors from our balcony and called our friends and family. It was so awesome!! I hope that sums it up for you and if you want to know anything else just ask away!! I love talking about it! I am still dreaming about it!!

Wendi I am glad you all are enjoying my story!!! I have saved everything for our scrapbook and even made a trip over to the scrapbook store in DTD while we were there to get a head start on some things and I got some mickey and minnie stuff with hearts and such that will be great. And I saved everything, turndown notes from the GF, napkins, the cork from the champagne although I don't think that will go in a scrapbook hehe , but I saved everything I could get my hands on from this trip!! I can't wait to start..We also took a ton of pictures of everything!!! Don't worry I will share all my plans and such as I am soo excited and I love sharing!!! I hope it is okay to be posting all of this on the resorts board though!!!

Oh Manda...now thats what I was looking for. Thank you for the details!!! It was pure magic. How wonderful for you, what a memory that will be. Now we want to hear everything about the wedding ! Can we come?? Ya, we'll all wear lime green dresses, ok?

Jillpie~ Your welcome! Thanks for letting me share. It has been fun to relive the moments all over again. I will most definetely share the wedding details although I am afraid it might be a while. We are considering waiting until November 2005 to get school finished up and work on purchasing a home and planning the wedding!! I am not sure if we will really be able to wait that long especially with how excited our mothers are!! But we'll see what happens. We are pretty set on a Dinsey wedding at the wedding pavilion and a reception at the GF followed by an illuminations party in epcot!! Although we aren't sure if Illuminations will fit in the budget yet but we'll see. I am happy that I will have so long to plan and enjoy just being his fiance but I am not sure if I will be able to stand waiting that long hehe! If we decide we can't wait the wedding will be next November probably the same weekend we were engaged!! Thanks again for letting me share and of course you can come hehe! But Lime green dresses haha! I guess I'd know who everyone was that way!!

Manda, that sounds just great. Take your time planning...but don't forget to tell us everything, thats not too much to ask, is it? lol. I'm not sure how new you are to the Dis, but lime green is the color that everyone wears here at DW to identify other "Disers", like lime green ribbon tied to something etc. Happy planning!

Jillpie- I would love to keep you guys updated on my plans!! What great fun it is to share Oh I am pretty new to DIS and wasn't aware of the lime green thing, that is really cool!! I haven't heard anything about that, how cool is that!!! Well I guess I wouldn't be able to laugh at the lime green dresses now would I?? It definetely makes sense now!!! Maybe I will have to do that next time I am at the World!!! Anyway thanks for letting me know about that and for letting me share my wonderful engagement story!!!!!!!

Anytime Amanda . I have been married for 17 years now and still love to hear about other people's weddings and plans. It is one my most favorite things. I always said that in my second life I want to be a wedding videographer or anything that would get me closer to the happiest day of everyone's life. How exciting for you. I look forward to hearing all about it!!
