Tinkamom- The bus ride to MK took about 20 minutes, AK about 15, Epcot about 10 and MGM about 7.

ScoJO15- I visited the BW twice. The first time I took the boat from MGM and the second time, I took the boat from Epcot, because I was already at these parks. On my way back to Pop, I took the BW bus to DTD and then the Pop bus.

have2getaway- I really enjoy riding the buses. For me, it adds to the overall experience. I'd rate the bus service as very good overall.

Angelkisses- The beds are doubles and we all had no trouble sleeping on them comfortably. The pool is officially open until midnight. The lifeguards go off duty at 11:00 pm. However, my kids were in the 50's pool until 1:15 am one night and I saw lots of other people in the pools past midnight. The game room, gift shop and food court all closed at midnight.

Teacher0510- The iron and ironing board were already in the room.

jjan- I agree 100% about Blanca. I actually met her one morning and she was a sweetheart. She had a room near me fixed with a Mickey in the curtains, posed sitting in a hammock, looking through binoculars. It was so cute. However, I must say I saw lots of rooms with towel animals in the windows. I left them all in the window so the next guest could enjoy them.

I read somewhere that the POP buses do not go to other resorts.
Is this true?

P.S. Great review. We are booked for All Star Music in December, but may be reconsidering

Tjaleks- There are no buses that travel from resort to resort. You'll need to go from Pop to DTD or a park and transfer to the resort you're looking for.

BTW, did you fax a room request??? Or did you just get lucky? We also requested 50's upper level but I didn't think they were taking faxes anymore. Then, I read another thread where they were...

Cocowum- The only request I made was when I originally booked the room and it was just that I have 2 rooms next to each other. I originally thought I'd love to be in the 70's, but, after seeing and staying in the 50's, the 50's are the best, in my opinion.

What makes you like the 50's over the 70's. I was thinking 70's but am looking for the closest to the busses without it being preferred.

Thanks for taking the time to help all of us future Pop residents. Have never stayed at a value but now am looking forward to it!!! We are going 10/3-10/13 and I can't wait!!! 60 days & counting...

We were at Pop on 7/28 - Well, actually 7/29 since we checked in after 1 a.m. We were in the 60's buildings and had a similar experience. Although we had made no requests, we were given a king room in a great location. We had only the shortest of walks from the main building, were close to an elevator, and had a fantastic view of the pool. Our room also was spotless. I had never stayed in a value before but definitely will do it again.

jetsetter90- I walked around the 70's and while I liked the icons and all, I thought the 50's area looked neater and more well-kept. Also, the 50's has the bowling pin pool and my building, building 3, was so close to the 60's pool and Everything Pop. I also had a great view from the room. Plus, the 60's rooms on the pool's backside viewed the courtyard and I was right by those, but, I didn't have to pay a preferred rate. Talk about pixie dust! My friend stayed in the 70's last year and even though she loved the 70's, she also liked the 50's better.
