My poor little kitty is sick. He has spent the past two nights in the animal hospital. They let me bring him home this evening. I'm still so worried about him. He is still out of it and not walking around.

How do other pet owners deal with this kind of stuff? He is my baby. I want to make him all better.

Sorry your baby is sick. Nothing worse than a kitty who doesn't want to play..

Does the animal hospital have an idea of what is wrong?

Your kitty has the most potent combination - love and the care of a Vet. I hope your kitty is feeling better soon.:cat: :wizard:

Thanks Jeanne!

No Wish, they don't know what is wrong. All of his blood work came back negative. They think he might have eaten something bad. Thanks!

It's so difficult for me to see anyone or anything in pain or not feeling well - it is just part of me to want to fix everything and make it all better.

My poor dog has been lost the past few days because her buddy wasn't home with her. She is real happy that Kelly is home, but she doesn't like him being sick. She has been sitting right with him watching over him.

My dog got sick a few months ago and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with her, either. She spent time in the animal hospital and then took about two weeks to recover from whatever it was. It was stressful! I feel for you, chell! :(

Aw, chell :(

It is absolute torture to have a sick pet whom you can't make better, but at least the bloodwork came back normal. That's an enormous relief.

In a few days, I'm sure kitty will back her bouncy self.

chell,
I hope your kitty is feeling better real soon!! I'll keep the little one in my prayers!!

Thanks Jolie, theSurlyMermaid and Vicky!

Everyone here is so sweet!

Sorry to hear that your kitty is not feeling well. Best thing to do is to let her sleep it off. I don't know if they knocked her out with anesthesia while she was there but when they do that to my animals they are always sluggish for many hours after. Hopefully she will begin to drink water and push it out of her system.

Hope your kitty feels better soon. Don't you just wish they could tell us where it hurts! Poor baby, he needs alot of lovins.

Thanks Liz, yecats and Mary Jo!

They did knock him out on Monday so they could do some of the tests. Poor thing slept on a towel on my bed last night and wet himself. Today I set him up a bed in the living room with his litter box to one side (if he could use it) and food and water on the other. He had barely moved all day long.

I want to hold him for a while, but I don't want to hurt him or make him get too hot.

Giving a cat medicine is easier than giving a bunny medicine, but it is still difficult.

I really do appreciate all the wishes and prayers for Kelly!

Thanks to everyone!!!

Kelly hasn't hardly moved all day long, so I decided I would hold him for a while. I've been afraid to do that because I didn't know if I would get him too hot. Well after I held him for a while then sat him down he tried to walk a little bit. He is going in circles when he walks, but at least he was trying. Then I put out a little food for him. It took him a while to find it, then he fell into it. But he ate it.

Again, thanks everyone! He's not 100%, but a little improvement is better than none.

My kitty Chester sends a big kitty  to Kelly. Hope he feels better real soon.

Still keeping good thoughts for Kelly!! I'm keeping him in my prayers as well!! Hope he is better soon!!
