Okay, I am really racking up the points at MyPoints. Is there any way to get a Disney gift card??? Do Walmart or Kmart have Disney Gift cards??? I know it's a stretch, but just curious.

someone posted once upon a time that Walgreens had the Disney gift cards. Double check with your local Walgreens to see if they have them and if you can use a Walgreens GC to buy a different GC. I am considering doing the same thing- I have enough points for $75 in Landry's gift cards, enough for lunch at Yak n Yeti for my family, but if I get more points before the trip I want Disney GCs!

ohhhhhhhh, I will have to check into that. =) Thanks for the tip!

I feel your pain!:grouphug: I've been racking up points like crazy for the last 2 years. I've already cashed in for (5) $25 RFC GC's, (2) REI (1 $25 and 1 $10) for water bottles, and (2) $25 webcertificates which COULD be used to buy Disney GC's. Unfortunately, MyPoints permanently discontinued the webcertificates so that option doesn't work anymore.:sad1: Now, I am sitting on over 10,000 points trying to figure out what to do with them. I will probably let them grow until we plan another Disney trip (currently, our next one isn't until 2012 and my dad is paying for that one!:yay: ) I guess I could keep saving. I'm sure by 2012 I'll have enough to redeem for RFC GC's so I can pay for our family of 14! I'll bet they'd love to have to swipe 15 GC's as payment!

The closest thing you could do is get a gift card for things you budget for every month, like gas or groceries. I cash out for Shell or Walmart and then when I use the card I take the $25.00 or $50.00 out of my account that I would have used anyways and buy a gift card (or disney dollars) at Disney. I too am bummed they don't carry Disney as an option.

Wow - I'm impressed! How do you get so many points?? I really need to look closer at that site! I've only really been doing the e-mails, using SR for shopping right now. I've been meaning to sit down & figure it out "one of these days...."

I use Lancome alot and I wait until they send me the bonus e-mail. I get 2500 points with a $50 purchase. If I need something before I get the e-mail, then it is still 2000 points. I guess that is where a bulk of my points come from. I also try to shop at B&N and Overstock for the 10 points per dollar.

Has anyone ever used the Walgreens gift card? When I click to redeem it, it says something like this: "Walgreens gift card is not an instore offer and Walgreens is not a sponsor of this program." I tried emailing mypoints about it but of course can't get a straight answer. Anyone know if the gift card can be used in the store?

thanks for all of your answers!! I truly do appreciate it!! I suppose I can look to see if they have any gift cards for restaurants. thanks again!!

This is what I am doing;

We are going to Tennessee this summer and since there are no rewards specific to that area, I am getting Cracker barrel gift cards to feed us on teh way tehre and back (and maybe buy a few goodies--as I LOVE Cracker Barrel gift shops)!

Last May, I got RFC gift cards, but don't think I'll do that again because a meal at RFC is time consuming.

I've gotten the Walgreen GC before w/o issues. Maybe they are discontinuing it? That would suck since Wags carries so many other GCs that you can buy with their GC.

Hmmmmm, too bad none of the stores offer Disney Gift cards. *sigh*

Just wanted to mention that typically you cannot use one GC to buy another. I know at CVS it will not let you put a CVS GC toward the pruchase of any of the other GC they sell. In fact, I fogrot about that amd it stopped it at the register. Just wanted to make you aware.

Wags does allow it. I do it all the time. You just swipe the GC at the machine then hit GC and it deducts it automatically.
