My family can definitely be considered veterans, with 2-4 trips/year for 15 years and we have our favorites but we decided to do something different for our DGS' 2nd birthday. After all, a 2 yr old wants cake, ice cream and fries more than a big meal!

I made ressies at the Plaza Restaurant in MK. They serve his favorite foods (hot dogs & fries), ice cream, and I can order a special order a birthday cake thru the cake hotline. It is small, not too loud, great service, and at the MK with lots of rides just for him. I have a 11:05 ressie to avoid the crowds.

Anybody else avoid the big meals for a quieter celebration? Where?

Sounds nice. I've read that Garden Grill is a relatively quiet, relaxing way to go for a character meal.
