I have just made dining reservations for my six night visit to the World (March 2-8) and I was able to get my first choice each and every time. I will arrive from Hartford at approx. 10:30, take the DME to the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas, and check in, pick up my room key with the DDP on it, and, while my room is getting ready and my luggage is being delivered, head to the Animal Kingdom. (But we all know the routine, don't we?:dance3:)

Here are my dining selections, day by day (* restaurants previously visited): (Day 1) Lunch - Yak and Yeti; Dinner - Boma. (Day 2) Lunch - Liberty Tree Tavern*; Dinner - California Grill. (Day 3) Lunch - Mama Melrose's*; Dinner - Flying Fish. (Day 4) Lunch - Coral Reef*; Dinner - Teppan Edo. (Day 5) Lunch - Tusker House* (in previous incarnation); Dinner - Citricos. (Day 6) Lunch - Crystal Palace; Dinner - Jiko. (Last Day) Lunch - Le Cellier*.

The restaurants were chosen based on my normal (or, perhaps, abnormal:) ) routine, i.e. first full day at the MK; next to last day, MK; last day, EPCOT.

My lunch hours are generally around Noon with the exception of Yak and Yeti when I eat at 1:30. My dinner times are around 7:00 with the exception of the California Grill when I eat at 8:50.

My sole concern (at this moment, at least) is how do I get back to the AKL from the California Grill? Will a bus be running from the CG to DDT where I can catch a bus to the AKL? Or will it just be easier to grab a taxi?:confused3

Thanks for reading and if there are any comments, criticisms, or questions, fire away.:cool1:

If it's EMH (or a party) night at Magic Kingdom, the buses will still be running. Otherwise, while CR > DTD > AKL is the most cost-effective way to get back to your hotel, the taxi is the most efficient.

Unless I'm counting wrong, you will still have a meal credit left over (just so you're aware, I mean). 2 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 3 + 3 + 1 = 17

You can always walk from California Grill to MK and then take the bus back to your resort.

Oh, I know that I have a credit left over. I just didn't want to appear greedy.:rotfl2:

I'll probably use it for a breakfast at Boma.

Thanks.

Thanks for advice, but not with my knee, I can't. (I use a cane.) BTW, what is the distance between the two and is there a walkway between the two? I would imagine that there would have to be.

The walk from CR to MK bus area is probably the same as from the monorail stop to the buses.

I would do the cab ride back to the villa. Much easier way to end the evening, it should be in teh 10-15 range for the cab ride.

You have some great dining plans. IMO, best way to do deluxe is by doing hte signature dinners.

Let us know how it is when you get back,
