Getting Married at Disney Wedding Pavilion-2,500
Officiate Jack Day-300
Floral BEO TBD...
I am in the process of making welcome bags and can use all the help I can getting maps, penny press guides...
There are 2 BM,1 MOH and 1 jr. BM
Their color for their dresses is Watermellon(going for a tropical floral look since it's July)-lots of confusion with that but I let them choose the style and it is in the color. So far so good.
My FH and I are forking the bill, and I will not let it be a secret we have been together for about 10 years and live together(for your religious people I know, I know..). Our elders are less than secure financially than we are, so... we will be paying for the wedding we want.
Some background, we have a house together and I have a little girl who is 10 and he has changed her diapers and helps her with HW. HE is the ONE!!
Anyway, our proposal was Easter Sunday in NYC at Central Park. He knelt on a rock and asked me to be his wife. I'm doing the job anyway and kind of like it(the American Dream!) so I said YES! He opened a Red Box and I let him slip on the Cartier ring that would later find it's partner(three diamond band in platinum). Platinum is nice, but very practical for me since I tend to be accident prone! I still don't know what he's doing for his band, he said he's not crazy about the Platinum. oh well.
Back to wedding planning...
Got hair and makeup person. she can even add glitter(I believe some on these boards refer to it as Pixie Dust?) and crystals.
I got my Dress from Davids Bridal -don't want to say style # b/c DF looks on these boards all the time(he found it first) It's great BTW.
I have a Tiara and a veil with Swarovski Crystals(little pricey on the tiara-but made out like a pirate on Ebay for Veil!)
Shoes are from Davids (Gisele). I promise to post pics later...
Have no clue if doing hair up or down. need pics/ideas...?
I have a food allergy(dairy-yes allergy not intolerant) and my dad has shell fish allergy. No cake (ornate filligree) for me(chefs making ind. cake (chocolate for me!!!
and my dad will have to do without the lobster.
I am missing stuff, I know... I'm trying so give points for that?
The grooms tuxes are being picked out this Sunday.
We ordered fans/misters(I'll email the site later) and the bags (Mickey and Minie Drawstring (black, purple and pink) 12 in a pack for 36.00+12.00 shipping(4.00 a bag!!!)
We ordered an ornament from Ebay to go in center of ornate filligree cake and going to Lenox this sat. to pick up Cinderella and Prince Charming topper.
Our invitations we ordered from a place in Haddonfield called the Paper Trail and they were proofed and sent in perfectly in less than a week!
We are having them calligraphy them also. Hope to take to Ben Franklins' print shop(post office US) to hand cancel the invitations this saturday. Reason for hand posting the stamp? We got a wax sealer!! (We got an
American Eagle) since it'll be a patriotic time of the year(I'll post invitation pic too so you can see our homage to our nations' b-day!)
I am getting all over the place and I doubt any of this will make sense since I'm not detail oriented right now(maybe after I'm married? HA!)
I can't believe all the info. that goes into one day, but now I know why people want to just do it once-it's exhausting.
