Hello guys! Let me start by saying I booked Friday and Saturday night of Easter weekend at BWV only one week prior to our intended arrival date. What a wonderful feeling. Even though the points were high, we were glad to get a room considering all resorts were to capacity!

We left on Thursday evening and spent the first night at an airport hotel. We used a cab to get us to the BWV and arrived at a very early 7:20 am on Good Friday. The front desk was very quiet and we were the only guests there. They promptly checked us in. Our room was not available of course, but we did get a choice of locations. We decided on the area directly above the pool on the fifth floor. Since we completed the checkin so quick, we changed our original plan of touring MGM (9am opening) and headed to the Magic Kingdom. Bus service was perfect and we arrived just as the opening countdown at 8am was finishing up. We went to Guest Services and exchanged our annual pass vouchers for tickets....let the clock begin!! We went to Frontierland and walked on Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain twice. We took the train to Tomorrowland and noticed a very small line for Space Mountain. Seems it had been down about 15 minutes and people were really fussing. We grabbed a fast pass, stood in line for about 15 minutes and got right on. We used the fast pass after a quick lunch. We also rode Buzz Lightyear and The Timekeeper. We left MK about 1:00 and used the monorail to get to Epcot where we strolled to the International Gateway (with UK beer in hand) and headed for BWV. Our room was ready and we quickly changed into swim attire and went to the pool. At 2pm all the chairs were taken but with about 30 minutes in the pool and careful watching we got two loungers as a family left. We stayed at the pool until about 6pm-went to Downtown Disney for shopping and made it to our 8:40 Ohana reservation. We were seated against the window and watched the 10pm fireworks at MK. We headed to MK as most folks were departing at 10:30pm and most all rides were a walkon.

Our Saturday went about the exact same only we went to Animal Kingdom in the morning-pool for the afternoon--followed by Epcot that evening. We were shocked to even get a bench seat about 3 minutes before Illuminations started!!!

Needless to say, we had a superb short weekend, and, in spite of what I know was a busy weekend, we were amazed at how much we did and how effortless it was to have a great time!!! We've planned to take full advantage of our annual passes by scheduling next Easter too. It will be my birthday next year and all the more reason to spend the holiday at our very favorite place.

Gotta love DVC!!!!!!

great report, wish I could get our gang moving that early, it makes for a nice stress free day!!

Hi,

Thanks for sharing! Glad you had a great time!!!

During busy times it is amazing how well you can do if you get going EARLY, leave the parks mid day- when they are packed to the max and then take advantage of the park's late closing hours as all the day trippers are falling like flies. Even at the busiest times WDW can be quite enjoyable, if you know what you are doing. We follow almost the exact same schedule while at WDW during busy times.
Thanks for sharing your report, sounds like a wonderful mini trip!

Wow! That is awesome. Sounds like you had a really good time.

It's a wonderful place to spend your birthday !!!::yes::

- Glad you had such a great weekend!!

Sounds like a great time!! We did that in december (flew in thursday night, left monday morning) and it was a lot of fun. We always get up early and hit the parks for the morning then swim in the afternoon. I honestly don't think there is a better way to do it!! Thanks for sharing!
